The journalist that wrote this is an idiot. So many misnomer I swear. First the government has not scrapped JSS and SS, they are just proposing it. There is possibility it could be accepted or rejected. The second nonsense written in the report is that Nigeria will be moving from 6-3-3-4 to 12-4. This is a misnomer, Nigeria currently operates the 9-3-4 system. The journalist is a product of the failed educational system in Nigeria. Such a pity

Owning gun is a symbol of power in Nigeria.
Just imagine Nigerians are licensed to carry guns chaos and vengeance will run wild. Everyone will be freaking and cursing at the sound of any firecracker

It is you and your family that the government has not licenced to carry gun. Continue clapping for their arrogance. If you offend any politician today, they will pull out an AK 47 and shoot you. AK47 is nothing to them. They even arm their boys with weapons more dangerous than that. It is when it's time for you and your family to arm yourself that we start hearing that AK47 is dangerous, Nigerians will run wild, bla blah... As of we are not already running wild. Those that want to kill you already have the guns, it is you and your families that don't have and you should use every means to advocate that Nigerians should be licenced to carry arms as this should benefit you and your family

So that mini super market no dey move market

It's not that it does not move but the profit you make is too low. It's almost like you are just buying and selling back to consumers at almost thesame price the producer sold it. You will make profit but very little. I have personally never seen a more useless business that it.

What were you expecting from the US when Afghanistan were not willing to fight for their country? 😂

You guys are bloody liars. Lol
Russia couldn't defend Syria, stop giving flimsy excuses, it's funny. It's similar to abadoning your brother just because he's too weak to fight.

Vodka drinking Ruzzian soldiers are only good with hiding under their bunkers.

That was the same lines used in defending the US when they abandoned Afghanistan.

On a more serious note, Russia is overstretched. I believe Assad also knows this. What more do you expect them to do?

CBN should go and rest! There are no jobs in the country and young people are creating jobs for themselves.

The implication is that these young people have become POS agents, emptying our ATMs and selling naira they withdrew from ATMs to us.

It's interesting that both old and new naira notes are in circulation but cash is still scarce.

You are thinking like a baby

The fact that you taught in the polytechnic for 20 years doesn't mean jack. Even if you be Rector before ing politics, E no still mean shit. You demonstrated a clear lack of understanding. Despite attempts to enlighten you, your opinions remained uninformed. Your national TV appearance was particularly disappointing, as you seemed to focus solely on the bill's title rather than its actual content, much like our lazy polytechnic lecturers who don't bother to delve deep on topics before coming to class to impart ignorance, rather than knowledge

I would have loved to know what he taught in the Polytechnic. Was it Islamic studies?

Will the states obey this law or can they a different law to counter this. I'm asking this because some states will have more than 90% of its citizens in that bracket.

General sani Abacha, the most despotic military head of state in our history

He was lucky Abacha didn't kill him, don't play with military dictators

We still have them, the likes of Vladimir Putin, Kim jong UN, Paul Biya, museveni

The Buhari civilian dministration was more wicked than Abacha but you won't hear that because the US president is happy with him. Also there are some despotic and wicked US president's in the past but they won't tell you that. It was an American president that ordered the use of atomic bomb against civilian target. In Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

That depends... Some 15 year olds are more mature than 18 year olds.

There really should be no need suppressing the genius of certain young people.

The part that should be given serious priority is the aspect of "Practical or Vocational Education".

This is what has been lacking for years now.

Are you guys even aware education is a professional sector? Most of these rules you hear were properly thought out before being rolled out. The reason for the 18 years is enormous but I will just give you one.

Now if you have a sister who is 15 and she is in the university and I have sexual act with her. You became aware and arrested me claiming your sister was a minor and her consent should be disregarded. My defense can become very easy if I claim I thought she was an adult because she was in the institution meant for adults.

That your claim of being genius is ridiculous to say the least. I've spent 25 years in the education sector and I can tell you, I've not seen a single genius in Nigeria. I have seen intelligent people though. Not every intelligent person is a genius. In education genius are categorised as kids with special needs and if that is the case, there is already provision for that. This law does not disturb that. This law is setting a baseline to enter the university. If you are in the special category, you should have documents to back it up, not just saying my mum told me I'm a genius.

Optimally 18 years is a good age to enter university

Some even say that 21 is better.

I said what I said. If you like, abuse me.

And if you like modify my comment

18-21 is best for university entrance.

Entering at 15 or 16 is just sending lamb to slaughter

What you said is not only perfectly in order but also the existing law. The minister is just playing with Nigerians if he made that statement. I just checked and the existing Policy on Education remains the same. Whoever is telling them that the age has been reduced is just making a mockery of the intelligence of Nigerians. The age for entering higher institutions remains 18.

That is nonsense. The minister, as it stands today cannot reverse that policy. Anybody telling you otherwise is just deceiving you. Nigeria is a corrupt country so even with the existing policy, it will be possible for a kid of twelve years old to be in the university. However, do yourself a favour and pick the recent "National Policy on Education" to check if the age has been reversed. No age has been reversed, so any school that choose to implement that law cannot be faulted. The government can choose to ignore the offence when committed if they like but as it stands. The law is the law.

The thing many Nigerians don't even know is that the law was not even made in this istration but in Obasanjo's istration. What this istration wanted to do is enforce it.

Very educative but minatry is abusing not fiscally training, beating someone is not training.

Have you seen where the US marine conduct their training? I have a cousin that couldn't complete the training, maybe you should hear from them then you will know that we are even joking here. Did you know that what we know today as terrorism or suicide mission was a form of military training given to a group of people when they were loosing the battle? Military training is intense everywhere. It is not meant for the faint hearted. The reason for people not ing has nothing to do with the training. Even in IT sector particularly programming is also not easy. There is no easy job anywhere. If it was easy, you won't be paid for it. The military hierarchy in Nigeria is so bastardised that people prefer ing the local vigilante than being a recruit in the army or police.

Tru when you go to other countries you will see how they train thier minatry but in Nigeria they will frug hell out of you, tell you to swim inside the gota, some people end up dieing .
That is why Nigeria army is not professional they are bunch of wicked Sue's.

Military training is tough everywhere regardless of the country. Infact compared to the USA, Nigeria military training is a joke. The big reason people no longer and I think they know but this report systematically wants to avoid it. Is that the military is not looking for staffs but slaves. Who want to be a slave? The job is no longer a career. When you graduate from the University, you are told in clear that the military is not for you. The only people that can the military with a university degree are the elite or those that can pay the huge bribe required. The result is that the elite are at the top cadre. So what they are looking for now is the recruit. In a state that have a high literacy rate, you expect to find people who will be happy to the recruit of police or army after spending their money on education. Another reason is that no reasonable Nigerian from the south today will be happy to be working alongside Boko haram since the military usually convert Boko haram to its . Let them continue damaging their institution and then be pretending they don't know the reason. I think last year or so this was also an issue in Edo State during the police recruitment as no one purchased forms. They had to extend the date twice.

Sanusi, the CBN Governor who doesn't know the difference between turnover and profit. The man who presented the presumed daily sale of crude oil of 2.1 million barrels multiplied by the prevailing crude price and expected total remittance by quoting the $20 billion deficit as missing without asking NNPC for the cost of operation and reconciling with the Finance Minister.

Infact as at that time, the man deserves to be sacked. He kept on giving conflicting figures the president man up and fired him. He was lucky it wasn't during Buhari's tenure, he would have been arrested after the sack. The man turned the office to a political one

Why are they still littered on the road in Nigeria!

In Nigeria court ruling as this is regarded as merely an advice. The only ones obeyed are those that changes the votes of the people.

Is there really any hope of fuel price being sustained at below ₦1000 per litre, when some Govt officials reason that lower fuel price will further encourage smuggling to neighbouring countries.

You have to be well connected to smuggle fuel out of Nigeria as of today. It is the same government official saying it will encourage smuggling that is smuggling the fuel. Tinubu and his deputy knows those that smuggle fuel. I would be very surprised if they don't know.

Can you imagine the nonsense you are typing online. It is this type of statement that is causing unrest all-over the country. So if Atheist boldly come out, will you kill them? We Nigerians are quick in using downgrading words to address simple issues.

Well, I am typing from Nigeria and I left my parents' house some 8 years ago...hmm grin, so cliche for most people on this platform to judge people they've never met before.

To address the issue of affordability. I know things are rough and I can recall that I rightly suggested that only medical experts on this platform should diagnose and prescribe medication for the said person. This should be at no cost.

Moreover, if you know the harm misdiagnosis has done in Nigeria you won't think twice but to second my opinion.

Remain blessed.

Shalom!!!.

Misdiagnosis has done a lot of damage. I'm sure we all know that. Even the op knows that. The issue here is many can't afford to visit the hospital. If you are in Nigeria and you claim you are old enough and you don't know that majority of the citizens cannot afford hospital bills then I don't know what else to say to you.
