Be very careful..many are stranded now in toronto with visitor visa due to fake information shared about how easy to converting visitor to work permit ..it very difficult to get lmia required to get work permit!

Even though most peeps say it's possible , I'm also one of them that say so, because of the laws put out by Canadian government ( you would not completely outrule it) it takes time to convert visit visas to work visas. However you can apply (it's encouraged) but it is best you apply with a status (PR, WP etc)

On the area of you staying 3 years straight , you go and come after 6 months.

Note if you stay beyond 3 month on tourist visa,you already diminishing you chances of future return to canada and secondary inspection may await you on ur next trip to canada

You cannot stay in canada for 3 years on visiting visa,maximum is 6 momth at a given period even cbsa officer can decide to issue you less than 6 month stay. And as per converting visiting visa to work visa it extremely difficult now to get lmia and pleaae have a backup plan should incase converting not possible.
And note immediately you stay more than 3 months without a concerte reason apart tourism then go out canada and hoping u can come back like 2 weeks ,or 2 month later,cbsa officer may refuse you enter..so plan well

Why stressing urself,even you cannot see date im lagos till next month...just go to vfs lagos and their is a dhl near vfs lagos,just use it and they take ur port inside..it much faster with courier and no booking needed !

The memo release in Jan that lead to this massive ppr for visitor’s application. Ircc had over 650k+ visitor visa in der inventory, the plan was to process either 190k or 450k applications to reduce backlogs. That’s why you see visit visa following the same pattern n ppr everywhere.

I apperciate ircc approach but the problem is majority of people getting vv now believe with visitor visa they can live in canada and convert easily but it not that easy and l just hope people will be more enlighted before landing in canada.l have been ed by old friends,family and neighours on their coming on vv and how to found work but l have no tatics on this matter

Visit visas are somewhat easy @Emmafe Said it all, just for a Wrap up...

Make sure :

- You have a job to fall back to for the sakes of pay slips etc, leave Letter when you applying etc, Job background. (Visa officers wonna see this)
- Make sure you have substantial amount in the bank . That 2 million naira will go a long way if you keep it and learn to process most of these things yourself.
- Travel history (Your best bet is to start with Visa free countries, travel during weekends , then visa on arrival countries during your leave)
- Get the inviting party to send you a letter when applying in order to make your application bullet proof. If you not invited by a Company, you can still go on normal tourism to Canada just make sure you have a valid reason to put in the column where they asked you to fill the reason you coming to visit them.
- If you have a small business, Include the CAC certificate.

Now Gods grace, you have the visa. The next thing you have to do is secure a Job (This is the hard part, usually done when inside Canada)
You have to go on several websites and search for jobs (In your field) that gives LMIA. You said you have not seen, but most Indian people I have discussed with, convert in that way, Or they create companies in Canada and Apply for work permits later on. You can set up a business once you have the available funds , then you in business, else, tailor your Resume to be real standard and let them know you have the full experience in that field, that way you can get hired.
Just make sure you do the following :

- Your CV / Resume has to be Canadian Standard Resume
- You check if your Skillset falls in an available NOC / Province

Watch some Youtube videos to see how to tailor a Canadian Standard Resume.

If it does work and you get Hired, Congratulations, God did it, Now start working towards converting your Visit visa (TRV) to Work Permit.
This part you have to understand how to Do something Called "Flag Polling". Either go to US / Canada Border at British Colombia, Queens or Niagra Falls. You have to be rejected by the US Border controls and be given a paper to Apply to the Canadian Immigration for Flag Polling , Dont worry they understand Haha...

Question for number 3 and 4, No one can guarantee this, as it solely depends on the request of the company and the vacancy requirements required. Secondly it depends on your brother as a Forecast is almost an impossibility, people migrate to Canada on a daily. your old posts says you are a PR in Canada. You should know to be honest. If the person doesn’t have who to stay with he or she needs to come with funds for airbnb/room share , feeding and other bills. A modest person will spend around 1200 to 1800 cad a month.
