flokii: All these because a son shares an advice he received from his mother? Wow. I've always said that we are worse than the racists of the West. Imagine black men turning against black men because of tribe. Damn! |

ActressAbimbola: So, which party be the heavenly party? People have freedom of association, and should be allowed to exercise it as they so please. If it's against the constitution of any party for its to cross to another party, they should debate it in court and refrain from calling names and all that. APC as it is today is made of of politicians from other parties...the PDP and LP inclusive. So, are these politicians automatically Satan's associates? I think we all should learn to separate emotions from reality. 1 Like |

My only question be say....how do these elites teach their children morality? How does Mr. Reno summon courage to sit his children and teach them about morality? As a father, I'm extremely careful of the image I create for my kids. I know they'll grow up one day to use social media and see the activities of their father. This shame no go even allow me conduct myself rubishly in public. How low is one willing to go for political gains and money? Are these the most important things in life? If na the only way to be rich be this, I'd rather live a quiet life and go through earth than being wealthy! Thankfully, it isn't..there are honest means, honourable means to wealth and relevance. I thank God for His grace to guide me through these paths. Shalom. 4 Likes |

stuffs2002: "The court did not reckon with the fact that the herdsman had seriously stabbed him in the leg and so could not have made a quick getaway, even if he wanted to. " https://www.timesng.com/opinion/784630-clemency-for-sunday-jackson-by-wole-olaoye.html I reading about this case some time ago - Mr. Sunday was stabbed severely in the leg during the encounter. How then do you expect him to outrun the assailant? Most of these life-death encounters, it's easy to analyze them from the safety of our homes. In the heat of the moment, with one's life hanging on a loose thread, with adrenaline pumping in magnanimous doses, and with dire split-second possibilities, the human body is only programed to do one thing - flight or fight. When flight is no longer possible, fighting your way out becomes the only available option. Let's just say the Nigerian state has been defeated by its attackers. The Fulanis do as they please, our armed forces are demoralized, corrupt, and overstretched...and our judiciary is just an embarrassment. This is the case when we allow tribalism and religious sentimentalism to invade our thinking faculties. How many people (you and I included) will act otherwise? You have an attacker willing to end your life, you are badly stabbed in the leg, possibly bleeding out with ambulatory functions compromised, what would you do? Run? Can you outrun your attacker? that there has also been an extensive history of Fulanis allegedly smiting these farmers at will. Of course, Sunday didn't want to be the next statistic - I wouldn't. It's just sad that we are what we are in this country. One of the mandatory steps to take to liberate Nigeria is to squarely face religion and tribalism. Put out some mad laws, no matter how extreme. Take these two things away from the Nigerian complex and you'd find that our problems are quarter-solved....if not half. 3 Likes |

wunmi590: If VDM dey use the NGO funds anyhow, EFCC (wey don dey look for way to hold am down since) go don hold am. We still dey wait for their so-called investigations. I understand we've been through a lot as a country, and it's now difficult to trust anyone. But, VDM has done more good than bad to us all. Obviously he's not perfect..neither am I. He's yet to give us a reason to doubt him. 2 Likes |

PheelzAlmighty: Well, VDM has a history of similar gestures in the past. He has done a lot for society. Lots of charities works here and there. We've heard from recipients confirming receipt. And, transaction alert is out there...yeah, I know, this can be forged. Again, nobody has come out to debunk this. I would imagine this would have been the first thing I'd do if someone makes a false claim with my name. 5 Likes |

chiagozien: I ed the course of NAFDAC. In truth, there are fake drugs sellers out there, and it's perfect for NAFDAC to go after them. What I don't is the MANNER they are handling this issue...and this is just typical of Nigerian operators. Inadequate investigations, just go in and arrest everyone. Why do you think when a crime is committed....eg, murder, people around will try to run away and stay clear...it's because the police will usually show up and pack all the young boys around...how can this be a decent way to conduct an investigation? NAFDAC had a good idea but went about it in the most foolish way possible. How can you lock down an entire market? What about innocent traders? How will they feed their families, pay their rents? What about the medications that will expire? Who will bear all these costs? I can never understand how an educated person can make this kind of decision. How do you make unilateral decisions without considering the people that'll feel the heat of your decision? What if the NAFDAC DG had a shop in that market, would she have done the same thing? I just tire. 3 Likes |

helinues: Actually, VDM's allegation is massive, and he's got receipts to back it up. I think the onus is on NAFDAC to clearly and directly respond...to offer clarity to the situation. It's established that the traders paid 700k to an operated by NAFDAC....the details are in the open for everyone to see...unless someone else opened an in that name...which is highly unlikely. VDM's allegation should trigger robust investigations and public statements...not the threat the lady is trying to do. I expected her to deny or accept the allegation. She didn't say anything about it. Are you not curious, or worried, that traders are paying that kind of amount...? I'm actually curious. Really trying to understand the exact reason to impose such a fine on traders...I've thought about this, and I just can't find any acceptable reason. NAFDAC owes Nigerians an explanation. And VDM is on the right track, especially if he proceeds to press the traders to seek redress in court. 2 Likes |

RichBoy247: Did NAFDAC say that all the traders in the said market deal on fake medications? I think most of us just say anything that pops in our head....probably because we are not affected directly. It's, however, not a good way of life to only speak the truth when we are affected. Let's just hope it never gets to a day where the police will pack everyone in an entire town because one criminal committed a crime. 40 Likes 2 Shares |

How about the criminal lecturers...those that order for sex for grades? Those that sell their grades? They do not wear dreads. Boko Haram terrorists do not wear dreads. How many IPOB terrorists have you seen on dreads? How about the Fulani kidnappers? So, what's the basis of your conclusion that he looks like a criminal? 2 Likes 1 Share |

I just saw this video on YouTube. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RLz5sZcqxRQp Recall some months ago when NAFDAC raided Onitsha drug market and made some arrests? Traders were accused of selling fake drugs. In this video, VDM is seen advocating for the traders in the market. Allegedly, NAFDAC had locked up all the shops in the market, and now traders are allegedly required to pay N500,000 to N700,000 as some sort of fine before being granted access to their shops. As at the time the video was shot, about a thousand traders had already paid this so-called fine. VDM is calling for the attention of Nigerians and those in power to this unbelievable issue. He's querying the reason for this absurd payment, he also promised to help the traders organize themselves and sue NAFDAC. I tried to look this up online to see if there are other sources with a similar claim of traders being forced to pay over N500,000 before gaining access to their shops. Sadly, I could not find any. In the video, however, VDM held a piece of paper that looked like a receipt of someone that appears to have paid the money. There's an urgent need to investigate this case and substantiate the claim made by the traders. It's just unbelievable...like, why should the traders be required to pay any amount to get access to their businesses? What's the purpose of such a payment? What's the morality behind this move by NAFDAC (if found to be true)? I think NAFDAC should respond to these allegations and clarify things with the public. When they started their operations, I ed them...but the manner the operations have gone, and with complaints like the one in the video, I'm beginning to have a rethink whether NAFDAC had an ulterior motive from the start. |
