I love cats. I haven't always loved them but, they kind of intrigued me sha. I brought up buying a cat, rather than a dog, to my mom but she claimed she's allergic to cat fur. I'm sure she's lying sha. So I want to get a cat in school.

I'm in 400l and I'm thinking of getting one in 500l but I'm not sure how to go about it. I have to think of where I'll keep the cat when I'm traveling home. So if anyone knows anyone who sells or gives out cats for adoption in Ife, Osun state. Please let me know, thanks! It's nice reading this thread sha cuz I can see that more Nigerians like cats

Cooleasy:

Can a cat get rid of reptiles like snakes that may be disturbing the house?

Yes, it can. But the cat may die in the process, especially if the snake is venomous.

I was given a baby cat in December 2016 by my friend's mom. She said it was a male and was very playful so I named him Luffy (from One piece). I later discovered it was female after I brought it home to Abuja. The cat is real funny and playful. We all at home love the cat (except for my dad but that's his problem). Today, Luffy killed its first rat. The rat has already eaten 3 of our chickens the previous night until we decided to let Luffy loose this evening. It was a tug-of-war to get the rat off Luffy's mouth....

Lol how does a rat eat a chicken? I want to get a cat but I still live with my parents. I'm thinking of buying a cat in my final year(I stay off campus) but I have to think about where I'll keep him/her when I'm traveling home. Or if I can carry it home with me
