A Nigerian man has reportedly called off his marriage just three days before the ceremony after discovering that his fiancée lied to him about her whereabouts.

This was revealed in a post shared on a popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), by @Choji_ES.

According to the post, the man spotted his fiancée at the market and decided to call her phone. When he asked where she was, she claimed to be at home.

Upset by the dishonesty, the man allegedly canceled their wedding, stating that he couldn’t marry someone who lies.

The post read:

“Three days to their wedding, this man saw his fiancée in the market, called her, and she lied that she was at home. He canceled the wedding, saying he couldn’t marry a liar. Is this enough reason?”

It is not bad of him. He just saved himself from untold hardship. A broken engagement is better than a broken marriage. Lies should not be one of a spouse's weakness.

The man is not canceling the wedding because of the singular act, he is canceling ghe wedding because he is wondering how many other lies she has told him.

My friend has taken his wife off all documents as next of kin, his reason is thag she doesn't pick her calls, she is home all day he has 24hrs light because he uses solar yet, he can't reach her. A day will come and something unfortunate will happen and his next of kin would not be reachable jusy because of that careless behavior. His next of kin is my humble self, even on his drivers license. He trust me take a call and do the needful not matter the corner of the globe i am, I roam.

Trust is underrated. many marriages have crashed due to issues like this. If the man goes ahead with the wedding he is going to be second guessing everything she says or does probably for the rest of his life
