udemzyudex:Bro, you've no fact about the others you're talking about. You're just throwing around random talks to base your fables on. Tell me the name of the case you know, so I will take you serious. I experienced military rule in Nigeria, democracy is far better. Who do you know that protest and he's still in jail for protesting? Do you even know the numbers of people who lost their life in the 90's? Rufai oseni will be dead or be locked up in prison by now under the military regime. Go and make research about Dele Giwa and how he was killed. Go and make research about how Ogoni right activists were hanged under the military regime. Democracy is Nigeria is far better than Military rule. Under the military the boys will still be locked up and no one dare protest because of it. If you protest or even talk about it, you will be jailed. OAU students locked down the police station till the students were released. Under the military, such a thing won't be allowed |

What a disgrace to the authorities of OAU to have allowed students to be arrested for doing nothing more than carrying placards, its an embarrassment. If a university undergrad has been so caged that he or she cannot have a voice and protest civilly like these students did, then shame to education sector in Nigeria and to the Nigerian youths in general. No body should be above criticism, no body should be above being protested against, not Tinubu, not Wike.

irunoko:That means you don't know the role of students unionism in shaping the governance of a country. Don't you know student union is a pressure group? Do you know the role of pressure group in larger political settings? Meanwhile, who told you the lecture didn't concern the students? Was the lecture meant for the management alone or for the university community? In fact, looking at the lecture topic very critically, one will notice that it was even meant for the students more than the management. It talks about future leadership. Go back and read the topic again. |

yemobrown:But one person up there is trying to convince everybody that students didn't always protest during military rule. That if they do,they will be in prison or got k...I..lll all. That it's only in this democracy that students can protest. Nawa..oo! |
