For security reasons, I decided to post this with this acc.
I don't know what to do and how to say this. But I pray and hope that you understand and offer me the Best advice possible.

Been vulnerable and defenceless coupled with depression led me into ing a cult group. If I had ed while in school, I may not have lived to tell the full story cos I was going to be killed. But thank God for sparing my life. I ed after sch.
I was depressed. I was oppressed. I had nobody(not even a family) to fight for, or defend me. I'm this gentle kind of person and it seems most gentle people suffer more in Nigeria as people take advantage of your gentility. You can be avoiding trouble yet trouble keeps finding you. That's just the simple way to put it.
Two years ago, I got initiated and was assigned someone( an old member) who would be giving me constant orientation of the cult group. Three weeks later, I traveled and I heard that same guy and another Member had been killed by rival cult group. I was terrified. Before the clash, I had already been warned by the rivals to stay off else I may not return home with my both legs as they intended destroying one or both of my legs. I became even more scared cos I was a stranger in that place. This was what led to my Traveling outta the place..
I ed them in attending all the meetings and these meetings always result in attacks from rival groups. Then I asked myself why I should be living such a careless life that could make me die like a cockroach at any time?
I asked myself again, Do I want to die so soon after all I suffered to achieve in life?
I have completely left the environment, blocked all the phone s of my colleagues and even on Facebook. I'm no longer interested. I want peace. I have come along way and wouldn't want to be harmed for no reason but because I ed a wrong association out of Depression and loneliness.
For those who were there and denounced their association with them, is there any other thing I need to do?
I'm at peace with myself because I didn't kill or harm anybody while I was in the group. Since I ed after sch, I wasn't recruited into the rank and file of the association but as a Senior Man.

He simply means his type of friend when he needed to talk to someone led him to cult

I'm sorry if you feel offended. Now, here's the summary: if there was any form of blood connection or some fetish things done to bind you and them together, you can't hide from them. If you like, travel to the moon. One way or the other, you'll connect back to them again and whatever happens when you do... Well, I don't know. But don't ever think you've done something by running away. How about the spiritual ties you have with them? So, you are very much still a member of that cult right now. Reflect on your dreams and you will understand what I'm talking about.

The only way to walk away from the cult is to first of all cut your ties from them spiritually. That's the most important thing to do. Disconnect from them and connect to Christ. Give your life to Him in spirit and in truth. That way, they won't be any need to run far away from them. Once the evil connection is cuts off, you are free. Forget about meeting them on the street. They won't even reason you. You'll only appear like someone they once know without any thought of them hurting you.

However, the nature of disconnection I'm talking about here matters a lot. You can't do it on your own. Submit yourself to a living church. Tell the minister of God there that you've come for deliverance—to break the covenant you had with the devil through your initiation into a cult and connect to Christ. Of course, they'll pray for you, but you must receive a signal in your spirit that you've disconnected from them indeed, especially through your dreams. There are so many living churches out there. If you don't know one, get in touch privately let's explore options based on your location. This is a serious matter and God is waiting for you. Act fast before they trace you to your hideout. Bring God into the matter.

It takes real courage to share something this personal. I truly understand that depression, loneliness, and feeling defenseless can push people into dark places. What matters most now is that you have taken the bold step to walk away from it all and seek peace. You have done the right thing by cutting ties and relocating. My sincere advice: stay away completely, focus on rebuilding your life quietly, and if possible, speak to a trusted mentor or counselor to help you process everything and stay grounded. You still have a future protect it with all you have got. Peace is yours to keep now
