The much-touted restructuring promised by Tinubu and his ers prior to the 2023 election has largely proven to be mere campaign rhetoric. Despite early indications such as mere expressions of for state police and the recent Supreme Court judgment on local government financial autonomy, implementation has remained elusive. No significant constitutional amendments have been enacted. The truth is that there has been minimal genuine effort toward meaningful restructuring, reinforcing the perception that the promise was politically expedient rather than sincerely intended. |
