So we should have continued to live in denial as we have been doing?

Claim to belong where you don't belong!

Which denial? And what is the reality now? What has improved?

More money is still being spent defending the naira after the flotation than Emefiele spent defending it at between 550 to 750.

Tinubu is a disaster. Tribalism is the only thing that still makes him have ers despite his obvious failure.
its because the ers are dumb, how can someone spoil things for you while making things better for himself and the people around him
It takes a special foolishness to still be ing such a person

Your comment was smooth until you put FTC after a long time. There is no big deal in being first to comment. If it's so important to you, go to other sections and browse through the threads. Many of them don't have comments until they hit the front page. If you follow this approach, you will CELEBRATE MORE WINS. Okay?

Blame Tinubu till tomorrow, Nigeria still remains better than Ghana, Niger and co.

We all contributed to the mess in one way or the other!

who are the "we"?

what has tinubu done to successfully tackle corruption, nepotism, cronyism, hunger, unemployment, hardship, poverty, inflation, wasteful government spending, budget padding, insecurity, bad governance, failing public infrastructure, poor medial services and falling standard of education?

There are two classes in Nigeria; the ruling rich class and the poor masses. The poor masses are tragically divided along ethnic and religious lines. The ruling rich class are united in purpose and exploits the dividing lines among the poor to perpetuate their empires. The poor don't know any better.

When we realize that the fight should be between the rich ruling class and the poor, things will begin to change. Until then, no hope. Let the poor Igbo and Yoruba masses keep fighting themselves foolishly online and offline. In the upper class, Igbo and Yoruba are partners.
very true plus Hausa/Fulani Rich ruling Class

Go and do a proper analysis of the result of the election before you cry tribalism. Obi won Lagos, right? Could Yorubas not have voted for him that made him win Lagoa? More Yorubas voted for Obi than Igbos voting for Tinubu. It was the numbers Tinubu got from outside SW that gave him victory. If it was all about the south alone, do you know that Obi won? Obi got the highest votes in the south but Tinubu won overwhelmingly in the north. If you still haven't done that analysis by now, sorry, you are just a noise maker with nothing to offer.
not true it mean Non Yorubas ( IBO , Ijaws etc ) All voted for Obi in Lagos and only tribalist Yorubas voted Tinibu

I spoke to a Nigerien living in Ghana a few days ago and from what I learnt the cost of living in Ghana is worse. In the capital of Accra is even much worse!

He came to buy things in Lagos from Ghana.

He doesn't even buy things in Ghana as it's cheaper crossing over to Togo and buying over there. He lives close to the border.

May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity realβ€” Tinubu

According to him: β€œThe theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this istration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”

On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.

Tinubu said: β€œI am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians faceβ€”rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.

cool What percentage is Salary increase. We suppose take advantage dey productive dey export to Ghana and other countries, since they're claiming they have strong currency. But despite all the Siemens invite on power infrastructure, it's one excuse or the other to get it to the final . Although I hear the President is setting up a credit bank, Biko it should be easily accessible and not the one you collect credit and they start embarrassing you and diminishing your social capital by calling your family and friends.. those who created the repo system in the U.S know you probably default, cos all hands are not equal neither are life conditions. But the economy is productive when you get the credit and patronize made in Nigeria, so that should be an important condition sef. We should know how credit score are computed, and possibly know our link bank s to our BVN.

A layman like me doesn't understand inflation rate by percentage!

I understand the rate of inflation in the price of goods in the market by it's high cost effectiveness.

What baffles me is how some people trade their future for a morsel of food. They just don't trade their future, they drag their family and children into generational poverty.

grin in all these increase 70k that cannot buy a bag of rice is the minimum wages and the workers are paid peanuts. Tinubu has nothing to offer, in the next 2 years it would be worse sef.
Unemployment increase
Embezzlement
Insecurity
High inflation in goods and services.

APC has nothing to offer you, everyone knows, but tribalism, religion, and party affiliation won't let them say it loud.

Your analysis is shallow.

Now, when the CNG bus driver, goes to the market to buy food items, will the price be reduced for him by half?

The man who grows crops at his backyard will equally pay higher for transport, pay higher for fuel, pay higher for cement. So, realistically, how on earth do you expect him to survive?

Even government agencies increased the price of their services.

Werey you better be proud of your state of origin nobody will beat you. Won't it be better if someone pocketed Abia, Imo, Anambra, Ebonyi or Enough and they see just one quarter of Lagos development? No iota of shame at all. You claimed someone pocketed a state and yet the state is doing fine more than all your 5 plots of land. Imagine the audacity.

What I see in all of these is lack of price control. Everybody is greedy, inflating prices anyhow.
