This guy tried so much in covering Buhari's ass and his colossal failures. His tenure did favour the Nigerian politicians the most and a bit of the masses. Well-done OmoLuabi

I'm impressed with how Africa was able to hold its ground and rebuff America's pressure for this man to resign about 5 years ago.

Nigerians donโ€™t elect technocrats, they prefer stories tellers and money sharers

No. We prefer the man from Bangladesh who was governor of Anambala for eight years but does not have a single legacy project to his name.

He was one of the best ministers we had in Goodluck's cabinet and he didn't disappoint when he got to AFDB.

Look at this one? What do you know? Adesina's policies will be far worse (better) than Tinubu's! You think subsidy is the right way to grow a country? A country can only thrive if they have one language (not colonial), similar culture, religious tolerance, and same tribe! All these factors will contribute to the growth of a country! Tinubu's policies may seem bad but they are very good. How can a section of the country be thriving upon the success of the other one? You rely on the taxes paid by one section to develop the other! Haba! Many people on this App dont think?

Governing a country is not by plenty English or international jobs held.. Where Adeshina was in the AFDB, he was answerable to a lot of people and governments, so even if he wanted to misbehave, he won't dare..

But as Nigeria's President, he will have a misbehavior blank cheque, answerable almost to no one but himself..

A good example of Nigerian technocrats gone rogue is Soludo, Anambra's Governor... Our once celebrated erudite scholar is now part and parcel of the political scum worrying Nigeria

Nigeria will befuddle him. It is a fragile association of strange bedfellows.. takes more than knowledge about economy to rule this eighth wonder of the world

So Adesina dyes his hair

Thank GOD that Buhari nominated and also defended him when the need arose that time. If it were to be this nepostic government we have today, he would have nominated his tribal fellow.

Congratulations to him.
This is a face we will be seeing for the next few years. Adesina did his best, time to handover.

Egypt once had its achiever. Mohammed el baradei. When he tried to run for president, Dem show am shege.

Gabon had Jean Ping. When he tried to run for president , the street showed him valuwence in double fold.

Even Ouattara that held a high position in world bank before he entered ivorien politics, it took him 20 years before he saw the fruits of victory.

African politics na street game. If you have been away from the street and you suddenly try to come.back, dem go pepper you well well

Or why hasn't Emeka anyakou run for office since he retired from the Commonwealth? Because he knows better than to fight with our type of politicans.

If you want to be in politics as an African technocrat, start small. Don't try something that would draw too much attention..OR wait till the situation is really chaotic, like the Liberian civil war, where all the street boys will agree you can run the show till things calm down, then they will kick you out and hand over the job to one of their number.
