The Truth Nobody Wants To Tell Mr President (1026 Views)

THE TRUTH NOBODY WANTS TO TELL MR PRESIDENT Nigeria is bleeding. Nigerians are suffering — not from laziness or lack of effort, but from a system that has become brutally hostile to the very people it is supposed to protect. Under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s istration, the average Nigerian is under siege — from poverty, from insecurity, from hunger, from hopelessness. Mr President, your government has failed the people. From the streets of Lagos to the villages in Zamfara, the reality is the same: people are not living — they are struggling to survive. This is not about opposition politics. This is about the raw, painful truth. A truth the people around you refuse to tell you. They hide behind fake figures, staged reports, and filtered statistics to create the illusion that your government is performing. But if you step outside the walls of Aso Rock and truly listen, you will hear the cry of a broken nation. Go to the streets — people cannot afford a decent meal. Go to the schools — tuition fees are now unbearable. Go to the hospitals — people are dying not because of sickness, but because they can’t afford basic tests or drugs. Go to the farms — farmers are abandoning their lands because the cost of inputs is beyond reach. Go to our homes — we sit in darkness daily, yet we are billed for electricity we never see. The Nigerian people are being pushed to the wall. Banks have become predators, not partners. They charge Nigerians relentlessly: stamp duty, transfer fees, maintenance fees, USSD charges — all for services that barely function. Their customer service is non-existent, their systems are unstable, and their goal is clear — profit from the pain of the people. There is no protection, no regulation, no relief. Telecom companies are draining Nigerians dry. Data disappears without use. Airtime vanishes into thin air. Customers are exploited daily, and instead of improving, these companies keep introducing new tricks to make people pay more for less. Network quality is poor, call drops are frequent, and yet the cost keeps rising. Still — no ability. There is no security anymore. Boko Haram has returned, bandits operate freely, kidnappers are now tech-savvy, ing videos of hostages online. Soldiers are dying with little or no ammunition, underpaid and overworked. Police brutality is on the rise — instead of protecting citizens, innocent lives are being lost at the hands of those who swore to defend them. EFCC ignores corrupt politicians and targets ordinary citizens. The system is upside down. Education is now a privilege. Federal universities are raising tuition fees beyond the reach of average Nigerians. Parents are selling properties, taking loans, or giving up. The so-called student loan is inaccessible — a show with no substance. What kind of future are we building when knowledge is no longer affordable? And the electricity crisis is a national embarrassment. We live in darkness. Businesses are shutting down because of outrageous generator costs. Homes are powerless. Students study under candlelight in a country that claims to be the "Giant of Africa." Yet DISCOs keep raising tariffs. What exactly are we paying for? Your istration claims that 20 million people have been lifted out of poverty — who are they? Where are they? What do they look like? Because in our communities, poverty is deepening. Businesses are dying. People are selling assets to eat. Families are being torn apart by economic hardship. You said cash transfers reached millions — not even 1% of the population in most communities received anything. It’s all smoke and mirrors. Mr President, enough is enough. The people around you are lying to you because they’re benefitting. But the people in the streets are dying in silence. It is time to hear the truth without filters. Leadership is not about photo-ops and figures — it is about impact. Real impact. Tangible progress. Visible change. If this government cannot face the truth, then the people must rise and speak it for themselves. Not with violence. But with unity. With courage. With clarity. With one voice — loud enough to shake the conscience of the nation. We do not owe the government silence. We do not owe leaders praise for failure. We owe our children a better country. And we must speak now — before it's too late. Nigeria belongs to us all. And we will no longer suffer in silence. 10 Likes 4 Shares |

The president is not in touch with the socio-economic realities. Those who blindly praise him are doing so for self-centered reasons, which they are fully entitled to, but when they mock or attempt to shutdown those who are feeling the pains of the incompetence of bat, that is when a line is crossed. The situation is dire, and the greatest mistake Nigerians can make is to give bat a 2nd term. Buhari, a colossal failure in his 1st term, was rewarded with a 2nd term and Nigerians know where it took them to. Now, bat, an even worse ruler, and the most arrogant in nigeria's history, is scheming to get a 2nd term. Imagine how terrible he will be then when nothing is at stake for him. Though the options are almost as bad, voting out bat in 2027 would send a message that power belongs to the masses, and if you significantly increase the suffering, then you and your party will be voted out. 8 Likes |

SlayDaddy: You think he doesn't know, he does, you when he said he had to stop reading news paper because of this, he just doesn't give a fvck, he has always been like that, I'm not surprised at all, reason why some of us opposed him from trying to become president. in the words of Jonathan " it is easier to wake someone who is asleep than to wake someone pretending to sleep" Read this article I wrote in 2023 and see why Tinubu was the worst presidential candidate to have been ed to become president, for me I've removed my mind from Nigeria for now. https://nairaland.moviesx.org/7802865/only-tinubu-ers-saw-nigeria 2 Likes |

Lanretoye: Sometimes, I wonder if you guys are really in this same country with us. How does one hold a governor protected by all the security operatives able? By protesting on the streets and getting ki.ll.ed? My happiness is that I never voted for Tinubu because we sabi am wella for Lagos. So, I don't expect anything positive from him. If Peter Obi ever becomes president, Nigerians will understand what leadership should be because he will totally cut off politicians and ensure his projects and programmes are directed to the beneficiaries - the ordinary people. He ignores the reports that his subordinates send to him and undertakes unannounced inspections. Gives his s to ordinary people to follow up on his projects and keep in touch with him. Yes, that's his leadership style. On the other hand, a Bola Tinubu would rather increase allocations to fellow politicians in states to get their endorsements because he believes that politicians decide the fate of the people during elections. That's why he's more interested in increasing allocations to governors, while his boys are all over the internet telling Nigerians to hold their governors able. Very funny! 4 Likes |

Tinubu has nothing to offer. If Nigerians think things are bad now, 2027-2031 will be brutal because everything points to him rigging himself in again.

ImpartialGuy:the guy you quoted ,sounds true in a way bro.....It's your governors first most times before the president...... the issue of covid 19 palliatives years ago....how some governors and state representatives withheld and cornered palliatives sent by the president that was meant for the masses?.......I'm not saying you wrong in your own line of thought though but again... 1 Like |

dynicks: nothing true in what the guy said, chasing your governor is like chasing rats if your house if it is on fire... you prioritize importance.... 1 Like |

Brendaniel:you don't want to hold your governors and representatives able But you willing to go as far as to hold the President.... Even from what you said about priorities, The things you hold and want to keep as priorities are those things closest to you and the things u are familiar with.....Now between your president and governors/local representatives, who's amongst them is closest to you?..... What I'm trying to say it this....often times, that thing we want to blame the president for or against, has been made available to get to you via your governors and reps sometimes, without your knowledge........... Anyways, I understand what u trying to say ...placing judgement on the HEAD!! 1 Like |

dynicks: So if I hold my governor able, the price of dollar will come down right? The price of import duty will come down? My governor will also command the chief of army staff to do his job right ? CBN will also start ing right monetary policies right? The problem with you guys is you guys are so blinded with either religious, ethnic or party that you become irrational in your thinking... How you don't know the importance and difference in macro and micro management... Even after using a burning house as an illustration you still chose to stick to your irrational thinking... No one is saying we should leave the governors alone but we will focus on the president more because his seat is more important than theirs .. . So you want to tell me you have rats in your house disturbing you, you were chasing the rats and suddenly your house started burning, so you will keep chasing the rats because the rat is closer to you than the fire that is on your roof... You will deal with the fire first and go back to the rats, look at the way you people think now, no wonder the country is the way it is with the type of leadets you people are presently ing in power... Or are you saying the office of a governor is more important than that of president to a citizen of a country? Look at the way you people think, that's part of the reason I want this country to divide... |

dynicks:Just be sincere in answering this question When students in a federal university are experiencing a hike in their tuition fees, who’s responsible for regulating it and making sure the students can afford the tuition fees? Is it the vice chancellor of the university Or The federal government through her appropriate agency or body ? Your state government have no hand in a situation where a civil servant that could save up 2m naira to buy a car 10 years but today the same civil servant can barely have 3square meal. That a bag of rice is sold above 70k is not the fault of any state government. Dollar is 1500 and above is not caused by any state government. If you want to know what state government can do and when they fail, the people can hold them able, take a look at Abia state currently, what they have today is what their past state governments were depriving them.. good roads, workers are paid salaries, good electricity, good economic development and other projects ongoing inside the state, it’s not the duty of the state government to reduce the cost of petrol or dollar or import duty If you want to defend Tinubu, be proud doing it and stop hiding… nothing wrong you defending him, just be proud doing it. 1 Like |
