FR. EBUBE MUONSO CELEBRATES HOLY THURSDAY WITH HUMILITY

By Okafor Benjamin

In a meaningful Holy Thursday ceremony, Fr. Ebube Muonso celebrated the Last Supper and washed the feet of his parishioners at Blessed Iwene Tansi Parish. This act symbolizes Jesus Christ's humility and servanthood, as He washed the feet of His disciples.

The washing of feet, also known as the Maundy Thursday ritual, represents Jesus' teachings on humility, love, and service to others. By washing the feet of His disciples, Jesus demonstrated the importance of selfless love and servanthood.

During the ceremony, Fr. Ebube Muonso encouraged those who have not yet ed the triduum camping program to start attending, emphasizing that miracles happen for those who persist in their faith. He urged the faithful to emulate Christ's humility and servanthood in their daily lives.

The Holy Thursday celebration served as a powerful reminder of the importance of humility, love, and service in the lives of Christians.

What Jesus did then was symbolic and should not be interpreted literally, but in context.
He may be a good priest but I view this as eye service.
How you treat people lower than you in social and political class is what matters

It's not eye service by Ebube Mmuonso. It's a symbolic action carried out by all Catholic Priests on Holy Thursday. It's just a reminder for Catholic faithfuls to be humble irrespective of their status in the society!

Let me elaborate. We would like to know how this priest treats these people in private.
1. Subordinates.
2. Cook.
3. House help.
4. Driver.
5. Gatekeeper.
6. Personal security guards.
7. Poor relatives.
8. Office assistants.

Which humility I hope he got his diocesan ArchBishop's approval to perform what he did. SE-based priests always forming god and untouchable. undecided

Church no start for England. Get your facts right.

That the Whites, apparently, came in with Christianity first, before Africans doesn't necessarily give them any monopoly over Christianity. Jesus Christ died for all nations and races.
