Governor Alia has been in a running battle with his former benefactor and SGF, George Akume
NOTICE REGARDING UNSCHEDULED VISIT TO BENUE STATE

Monday, April 14, 2025

The Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, wishes to inform the public that he is not expecting any August visitor to the state today.

He is currently engaged in high-profile meetings with key state actors to discuss critical issues affecting our state.

Therefore, he strongly advises against any group or high profile individual(s) attempting to enter the state for any kind of visit that may generate political assemblies without prior approval.

For anyone considering a visit to Benue State without the Governor’s knowledge, it is imperative to reconsider such plans, as the safety and security of individuals in this regard cannot be guaranteed.

Also the public is to note that all individuals or groups intending to visit IDPs in Benue State must first seek and obtain written permission from Benue State Emergency Management Agency (BSEMA).

We urge security agents and the public to take note of this announcement and maintain peace and order in the state.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sir Tersoo Kula, MNIPR
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State.

Seems power have a way of intoxicating. No wonder brain scan of some leaders is similar to those with brain injury.

IDP exists in your state because you can't guarantee security of your residents. So nothing new in the statement..

I think an International organisation intends to visit due to the incessant killings there. He feels Akume has a role to play in it.

There are rumours he might be next in the SoE saga, so he is already taking precautionary measures.

This is the resurrection week and people would want to share love with IDP's. Stop such visits it's wickedness at its peak.

This decision governor must be reconsidered.

Only the politically smart can see the correlation in the rifts between godfather and godson in most of these APC states. Uba Sani-Elrufai, Alia-Akume, Sanwo-olu-Obasa, etc. It smacks of one person's trademark of setting two people against each other while attempting to play both sides.

This is what happens when you instal a compromised governor whose allegiance is to the enemy of his people. No wonder Ortum was kicked out.
This governor obviously is not worried that Benue people are being massacred for their farm lands, and the villages are being renamed to Fulani, and inhabitants are shipped to IDP camps. He is more concerned about himself, his office, and his position in the party. How sad.

Those guys are already traumatized don't add to their misery

you can make your contribution through NEMA or SEMA

What happened to the injunction that your left hand should not know what your right hand is giving out?

So citizens are now declared persona non grata in their own state by their state Governors, when they have political differences? The other day it was Kogi state Governor against Natasha.

Clergy men who find themselves in such positions, should do all that they can to unite their societies and communities. It is very disturbing that peace continues to elude Benue state. If it is not the marauding and destructive herdsmen, then it is the political leaders in the state, struggling for power and relevance. When will Benue state begin to experience peace and development?

Peter obi should take note. Even at his age that he should rest

The man kept been on transit everyday. Atimes I wonder if obi is married at all.

No time with family only chasing a dead political ambition.

Obi will be retired in 2027
