He is not the only refinery in Nigeria...the claim of monopoly is flawed.

A Nation largely dependent on importations, with her Fx reserves bleeding heavily because of it, will do everything possible to export to bring some balance.

That's simply economics

Keep on shouting Agbadorians up and down, you'd better sir down and strategize how you will shape your own life and your family, Dangote started his refinery in a very tense condition but now see him he is cashing out. Be wise and leave all these media propaganda...

Countries protect their own companies, but Agbadorians wanted to frustrate this man so bad by claiming he was refining low quality products. Those people should never be allowed to lead national politics again, they're better off as opposition because all they do best is cho cho cho.

It is because the government Malta cabal are still wasting the FX on importation of fuel

We want this too but it’s unrealistic ATM.
His refinery isn’t a philanthropy. So you want him to allow nnpcl and importers to run him aground?

I'm so happy for this man's investment, even though at the onset I wasn't sure of the refinery coming onboard soon considering the publications I read on different tabloids.
His investment especially this particular one will keep serving the same minds.

Why is it not reflecting on the exchange rate?
It is not reflecting on the economy because:

1. The gains from exporting his product is being nullified by inability of government to resuscitate our productive sector. Most things in Nigeria are provided by importation because it is very difficult to produce here. Challenges are high cost of living and producing, lack of access to credit, very high interest rates, poor infrastructure, electricity challenges, etc.

2. Since we have crude and we now have a functional refinery after many decades, many expected from the government to ensure that the product is refined rather than importing and putting pressure on the naira. But since the refinery came on stream, the NNPCL and their collaborators have been frustrating Dangote.

How then do you want his exportation to other countries impact the exchange rate??

Did ordinary Nigerians take the risk of heavy debt through loans, the billions sunk into the facility, the sleepiness might and meetings etc? which yeye national interest? Even the land we thought the state gave him free, did he not say he paid over $100m for it and spent several billions out if his pocket sand filling the place?
If we want national interest or ordinary Nigerians refinary, nnpc owned refinaries are there, abi are they not producing again?

Help me tell them o.

Somebody collected loans in foreign currency and took a monumental risk that big oil firms backed out from and set up a world class refinery and people are telling him to set prices for national interest and yet the government that they are supposed to demand national interest from gets a from them. You see how many of our citizens reason?

So it means even if Nigeria doesn't patronise him, he will still be on business, but why rubbing it on our faces cry

The reason it feels like rubbing on your face is because you are hungry. You are looking for 500 per liter.

If US is buying Jet Fuel from Nigeria, it tells you many things.

The fact that people don't see it is why we are where we are today.

The collective voice of a people is what drives change. And if we cannot see the evidence of the possibility, how can we collect that voice?

That is why the change we want is so elusive.

Right now people are too hungry to see beyond their noses.

Inspite of everything, Dangote is here exporting to the US. One man could do it. A National FG failed at it

So much that Dangote is once again planning to build the largest port in Nigeria in Ogun State.
Hehehehe. It gets to a point where propaganda starts to look like something only a mad man can come up with.
The folks who claim to have all the money in the world are sitting idle while Dangote again is taking up a bold project. As soon as he is done they will start calling him a monopolist even when nobody is stopping them from building anything.
