Nigerians are inherently wicked... Look at people hoarding Dollars so that they can sell at a exorbitant rate.

Tinubu effect. FX speculators, food hoarders, bitter people, all of them are losing.

was the same tinubu effect that made the prices of dollars and food to skyrocket in the first place?

can you list the things tinubu did that produced the "tinubu effect" making prices of food to come down?

who are the FX speculators?

Why do Nigerians like to lie like this. Everyone knows its fuel subsidy removal and float of the naira that caused all this.

And now they are lying like mad.
Who doesn't know that during Ramadan a surplus will exist?

You guys are not tired of suffering.

The APC led government and the need to control the narratives
Nigerians still have not seen the so called crash in anything that has been promised how can food crash when petrol that is used in transportation is higher that normal

the only thing that this government has done is to show nepotism even at the expense of Nigerians

but funny enough come next election the same people shouting now would campaign for this ROT IN POWER for 2k

market effect will boost our testimony not this analysis .

The share number of threads and newspapers articles been published to convince us that prices have fallen is unprecedented. Haba, if price falls, we shall notice it, do we need 200 threads to tell us that.

Have you considered storage? Most farmers aren't into storage and need middlemen to uptake their products and provide warehousing facilities. Otherwise, you'd have a glut of yam in September and no yams in the markets by January, there'd be a lot of waste and food crisis will be worse. I know there are greedy people, but these middlemen Nigerians love to demonise mostly provide an essential service.

Using storage as an excuse won't hold using Nigeria as a case study... Because even when the product is supposed to be abundance in supply and be cheap they deliberately hoard (store) it to influence price to an unreasonable amount.... Imagine buying a tuber of yam for 6k..... Is storage just a new factor? Of Cos it been a Major factor before Which is already considered B4 deciding the market price

Which food has crashed. I went to Oke -Arin with my wife over the weekend. Things are not smiling. 40% ko 140% ni. How much is bag of rice now. grin grin grin grin

Why would you go to Oke Arin of all places? Even the transport costs there will erode price differential with your locality.

Form a virtual coop with friends and buy from out of town.

I am loving this. Last year, we were buying maize for poultry feed at N950.

It is now N600. Even soyabeans that was N1200 and N1300 has crashed to N850.

Looking forward to bumper Eid-El-Fitri sales.

Inasmuch as there's a marginal reduction in prices of foodstuffs, 40% is a big fat lie

40% implies that a bag of rice that goes for 100k before is now 60k. Where?!!

I have been telling mr president from the begining that once you remove subsidy and devalue the naira kindly open all our land borders because our farmers, business men and women and market men and women are very greedy now see them Nigerian people are very different all over the world we are very greedy to the extend that we don't care about each other suffering at all
