Dele Farotimi never begged him and those useless monarchs are all fraud toi

So the Dele guy accepted the case to be withdrawn, rather than prove to us how he lost a case because the other person was corrupt?

I kind of hate this culture of having to beg for people who deliberately do bad things hoping to beg their way out of it. It is very common on the road, someone will deliberately bash your car and then immediately start begging, if you refused, the people around will turn against you as a wicked man.

People just hate taking responsibility.

Did he beg for the case to be withdrawn?

Why would he insist to do case and be wasting money when the person who made allegations said he's not doing again?

If you were in his shoes, is that what you would've done?

If he had not sent emissaries, what else would have made those kings go and beg on his behalf? PO may have gone on his behalf for the cameras, but the others went to beg because their influence was solicited.

Useless Misleading False Headline

Babalola himself withdrew the cases. So the bleeping Headline should be

'AFE BABALOLA WITHDRAWS SUIT AGAINST FAROTIMI" after plenty begging

Not the junk headline above making it sound like Babalola lost the case.

But Dele has not recanted his allegations and the book is still in the market. So, the allegations are true.

If I were Dele, I would be silent too. Lol. Afe Babalola has seen he is heading to a bad end. Lol.

Does it make sense? He tried to get rid of the books in Naija stores, and cos of nonsense Naija, he got it done. He went to Amazon where the books sold madly, and his request was trashed. Lol. Dele was not worried cos the income from amazon is actually over 90% of his income. Those books in Naija stores are pirated. Lol. So, Afe Babalola even helped Dele fight piracy unknowingly. Hahahhaha.

Now, maybe he saw that it is going to end bad (maybe not.....not sure) for him, and he said that obas begged him. Obas begged him, but the book is still out there hurting him and his reputation, and Dele told him to his face that he is a corrupt lawyer. Afenifere, the Yoruba well known group has recently appointed Dele as their secretary on top of all this drama. Hahaha.

that some other lawyers too mentioned in the book as corrupt sued Dele too. What about them? Ahahhaa.

Dele looks like the winner here. If Afe Babalola is truly innocent, shouldn't he clear his name? His name is in the mud, and see...this is an everlasting stain the way I am seeing it.

Does anyone have a counter view to mine. Please, kindly share it cos I want to read counter views. How can a reputable lawyer allow such to go like that even at his age (over 90) knowing this might be the last chance he has to clear his name. History will never be fear to him. Or does it mean he has accepted his guilt and does not want to escalate the situation again? Maybe he thought bullying Dele would bend him. Dele is stubborn. As in ...I don't know who is more stubborn between Sowore and Dele.

It is well. Afe Babalola....hmmm....It appears that his reputation is mud. Can not we see how Femi Falana acted to make VeryDarkMan twist his words? Dele was still stubborn here and said he will rather go to prison. Hmmm. Afe Babalola...history will not be kind to him. This case will forever hunt his reputation. Chai. This baba eventually turned Dele into a hero here. Mehn!

People intervened, thanks to the Ooni and other influential figures and Baba for seeing the futility of continuing the suit. He was just making Farotimi popular.

As they should have.
Dele should sue that old crook for wrongful detention and violation of his civil rights.
NSK4U(m): 5:27pm On Jan 29
Of course, he should allow the process to go on and clear everything even though no one trusted the dirty judiciary whose judgement are predetermined by the highest bidder....... If you are not smart enough, you will never know the truth. But the book has shown it all to us. Attempt to stifle truth and call it respect to Oba's intervention, certainly the matter is still very much alive in the hearts of many and he would forever be ed as amongst those who messed the system.

There will be more in the coming weeks about this immediate quiet.

Farotimi is probably quiet as part of the agreement to end the issue and in respect to those who stepped in between.

I always thought even if Dele Farotimi lost the case, the expose would not be good on Afe Babalola and the legal profession in Nigeria.

Would have been a very embarrassing, dirty fight.

Well, good it was avoided.

I wonder how he could have won the case having seemingly denigrated the Courts and Judges too.
The traditional rulers have provided a soft landing on all sides. The roforofo and humiliation would have been too much if the trial continued.

History s the probability of them regretting their action in the future. People like that do not have the self-control to restrain themselves from even attacking the kabiyesi that went to beg on his behalf.

Silence
However, ever since the news of Mr Babalola’s forgiveness came to the fore on Monday, Mr Farotimi, usually outspoken, has kept mute and has not spoken about it on his social media handles or YouTube page, where he provided updates about the case with Mr Babalola in the past

Dele my guy go and sin more

You are too direct in your accusations and there is no how you can prove it, even if it’s true

Anyway thank God for your life that is not more than this
A lawyer of his status should know very well that before you accuse anyone of any crime and you want to win that case, you must provide an infallible proof of the crime committed, otherwise you will put yourself into trouble. Or was he expecting Chief Afe Babalola to keep quiet. The man who has built an enviable image of himself over the years

Which would never happen.

Wisdom is profitable. As old as the Afe is, he should have known better than engage a stubborn character like Dele Farotomi in a roforofo, especially knowing that Dele is not the type to back down.

If he had simply ignored the allegations, or issued a rebuttal, it would have been far more powerful than even pressing a civil suit, let alone criminal charge, against the guy. Same thing with the Burna Boy /Speed Darlington saga.

People tend to allow their useless ego/vainglory lead them into making the wrong decisions in the bid to prove useless points.

Baba Afe Babalola just ended up making Dele Farotimi more popular than ever imagined. Now, he's been made the Afenifere Secretary. It's now Afenifere is having a replacement to a vocal late Odumakin.

To the main issue. Baba Afe Babalola just save himself from future embarrassment because Ekiti state where he filed that suit has decriminalized criminal defamation and there is no way such case can fly. What I was foreseen before was the court case been delay for long, till it later struck out.

You now ask, who is on the losing side. Dele Farotimi has made millions from the sale of the book. He has also been made secretary of his tribe's group. He has been well know beyond the shore of Nigeria through his book. Baba just succeeded making him popular.

I am still wondering how some of you know that there is no evidence. The case has not been opened for hearing but some of you have starting saying there is no evidence, if by tomorrow the case is opened and witnesses start filing out, what would you say. You people are just assuming for nothing.
You people think a man like Dele Farotimi will just put pen on paper without a pint of back up. I think I read one law came out that he was ready to testify against baba Afe Babalola in court on how he manipulated the court. He might have received Intel before he could go ahead and put it in black and white.
You guys should rest about non-existent of no evidence.

Why did Baba withdraw the case?

1. If it were only because of the intervention of the Obas, then Dele would've been made to retrieve his book or make a formal public apology. You can't insult someone publicly and elders come to plea your case without making you apologise. Dem no born you well.

2. I for was watching and waiting. To see how Dele intends to win this case knowing too well his case implicates the very judiciary he is relying on for justice.

3. The entire case would've been a litmus test for the Nigerian Judiciary. I wanted to see them handle this case without bias. I've already concluded Dele has lost even before this case begins irrespective of the evidence he has.
