Vicky's mum was Nigerian and her father is Spanish. She often expressed a desire to play for Nigeria in order to honour her late mother, but she was never called up by Nigeria. Her father said that the Spanish federation had expressed an interest in her since she was very young.

She won the Under 17 World Cup with Spain (and won the golden ball at the competition) and still she expressed a desire to play for Nigeria, but it never happened. She was called up to the Spanish senior side around a month ago and she played for them, so she can no longer play for Nigeria.

I believe that she will be one of the best players in the world in the not too distant future. She turned 18 three days ago and she already has two Champions League winners medals.

The photo was taken by Salma Paralluelo (who is wearing Michelle Alozie's jersey). Salma has a Spanish father and an Equato-Guinean mother. She is just 20 years old and she is a former athlete (she ran 100 metres for Spain), but switched permanently to football after she was signed by Barcelona. She is the only person that has won the U-17, U-20 and senior women's world cups.

Oshoala, Vicky and Salma all played for Barcelona until Oshoala moved to the US early this year.
