Ahaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, has said no one is above the law, calling on the people to remain calm.

Speaking at the mini-palace where he is holding forth since his return to the state after his dethronement, he said justice will prevail.

The monarch vowed to accept whatever the law states, adding that Kano is an important state in Nigeria.

Speaking in Hausa, he said, “I call on the people to remain law-abiding while awaiting outcome of the legal process in this tussle.

“We call on the authority to do justice in this matter. Kano is a very influential state in Nigeria. Whatever affects Kano affects Nigeria. May peace reign in Kano. We pray for Allah to bless Kano with responsible and just leaders. Justice is the way to go on every issue. There will be justice. Nobody is above law. We will accept whatever the law says. I appreciate all the people who have shown concern.

“As I said, justice will take its course. We will keep on praying for peace in Kano State. May Allah the Almighty protect us.

Which law?

Nigerians don't trust the laws of Nigeria anymore. Since the law can be used in different ways as it pleases the to destroy things and force his ways into peoples rights.

The law is dead in Nigeria and that's the consequences you're suffering so.

If this issue gets out of hand, FG may just declare state of emergency. This tussle proofs that all the royal institution may not be needed anymore in Nigeria. What's the point of traditional institutions or authority when they can be kicked out by any governor in power.

Then be honorable and do the needful. Stay dethroned while the legal process is ongoing.

Kano is the most volatile state in Nigeria, the govt won't want to try that. It's better they settle this amicably and let peace reign, shikena sad

And after state of emergency / after Apc, normalcy will be restored not only in Kano but Nigeria as a whole.

See this weakling answering Paraman. A better name for you is "moveon man".

He won't move on. It is time for certain things to be challenged in this country and he is within his rights.

For DSS to full everywhere, means the president is directly involved.

As I said before, if they must fight, their children in Europe must come back and lead the fight from the front... No more Buhari style of telling people to "protect your vote with your life" while his adult children are safe in Europe.

Some of you are too forgetful. The man's name wasn't among the names of those initially shortlisted to be considered.

Every state is important sir, even Zamfara, Ebonyi and Bayelsa states, they are all equally important so long as Nigeria exists.

Dethroned Emir please go and lick your wounds in peace and wait for your time again as sanusi waited.
