morning all... I need a sincere advice. We are family of six .My husband has ten years work experience in access control and catering while I have hnd in ing but no work experience, My kids are age 4 and 2 respectively.. Please what is the best route for us to migrate to Canada to work and also if we need an immigration lawyer and if yes, please someone should link me up.

Let me be honest with you, there's no shortcut to Canada, it takes years of processes and spending.
Firstly you said family of six, but you said your kids are aged 4 and 2 respectively, that means you have only two kids so you're a family of four.
Secondly, your best bet is Express Entry with him being the main applicant..

Trust me, waiting for Canada’s process can be VERYYY tiresome. Funny thing is: you can’t even call or them to follow up. You just wait.

Anybody who has been waiting for 2-3 months here?

Has anyone gotten theirs in less than 4 months? Since 140 days seem like the average processing (from inside Canada).

You can send a webform to query that. But eligibility isn’t a big deal. The main thing is approval.

I submitted April 14th 2023. My medicals was ed May 18 but eligibility hasn’t started yet. Background check still in process.

I have sent many webforms and emails still no updates.

The waiting is tiring but I believe God for this Month.

I'm new here and I really need your help with something that is bothering my mind.

My dad paid an agent since November-2022 for an Unskilled job offer in CANADA,,and I don't really knw what's happening till now.

To cut the long story short, as at March-2023, I got a job offer for the role of a Farmer including an invitation letter stating the conditions of the job through my agent. Please note that all the information I have had came through my Agent's email and not mine.

According to my Agent,,,the LMIA processing fee wud be paid by my employee and every other necessary fee as regards my travelling. But I have to be patient for atleast 2months b4 everything can be ready.

Now,,it's over 3months that we've been on this LMIA processing issue but he keeps telling to be patient that my employer is still working on it..

I have searched for the company's details online but i can only get little information about the employers information on the internet.

I have been really skeptical about all the processes but I just need anyone from Nairaland who can assist me with any vital information as regards this processes and I'll be extremely grateful.

Even though it's 99% sure that you will get a work permit (temporary foreign worker), you will have to wait for a minimum of 2years. Just get your upfront medical, a bogus POF, do your Wes evaluation (for PR process),learn skills and get certified while you wait.

That is the bitter truth. It usually takes 2 to 3 months before LMIA will be approved. After that, you work permit will be submitted. It takes up to 2 years for the general process. Just be patient and learn some skills while u wait.
