This is going to be a long case from what I am seeing. If they can pay him let them pay him. The business climate anywhere in the world is unpredictable. Moniepoint might be on top now but what of tomorrow?

Let it be a win-win situation for everyone.

I don’t know how to type long epistles…so this will be short and straightforward

Oga Seun, I greet you oo..
we know you are trying to make nairaland better, but in the process of implementing changes, don’t make it worse. Not all changes bring growth, some kill it.

You are literally suppressing the way people express themselves on nairaland.
If you look at nairaland, the majority of s are the Millennial generation and few Gen Zs…
Most of the loyal s are people that knew nairaland years ago and refused to leave…. In fact, many new s are reincarnates of old s..

What does this mean… change is hard and the changes you are implementing will only frustrate your most loyal s, people that have been here for a long time and keep coming back…and they have gotten used to the way mainland operates

You don’t have much of Gen Zee’s
You may not have someone to advise you in a management and strategic mindset… but there are many people here who knew Nairaland from kids to adulthood and have become business leaders and owners ( they come here because they owe this forum everything)
What you should be targeting is how to attract Gen Zees not making life harder for even the older generations that have been here for a long time…

I repeat, your changes will only frustrate your most loyal followers who are the majority….

If you want to make changes, bring in new features that will be desirable to the new Gen Zees and align with trends, while keeping the old features that will still satisfy the old s….

This advice I dey give you, na free consultancy whey we dey use chop money oo… there are product managers here, business development managers, strategy analysts and many other smart and well doing people… I’m sure many of them are here and would understand the jargons I dey type
I believe that you have said it all. In an earlier thread, I had also given Seun some candid advice

You can go and rent crowd let's see nah. You think it's easy to mobilize people? This is politics not social media emotional blackmail.

Rubbish.

See someone painting the situation like he merited the position. The man had the machinations to become president long ago. He didn’t want to at the time. The only person in my memory of the country who gained leadership through merit was Goodluck Jonathan. Unfortunately, being a good man has nothing in common with being a good leader.

Goodluck didn't become president by merit. He was just lucky. Luck and merit are not the same.

Young Man, I think you are confusing June 12 with another day in your life. June 12 1993 was as peaceful as ever.
Earlier that morning people got out to vote. It was an election in which you as a voter had to spend a considerable amount of time at the polling unit because it was Option A4. This means that you had to queue behind your preferred candidate and be counted at a particular time.
The election finished and everybody went home waiting for the election results which took some days. Eventually, Babangida had to stop the announcement of the results.
So I wonder where you saw people running on June 12. It was after the annulment that a crisis broke out.

Air Peace dey fvck up these days abeg.

Flight cancellation
Flight delay
Shabby treatment of engers onboard the plane
Non-refunding of tickets money
And so many other things...

Air Peace needs to restrategize...

A year of good harvest makes one the best farmer but how sustaining is such status becomes another BIG question. I am not ruling out any possibility until after 2027. So no assurance for PBAT for a second term for now.

Don't forget all the people making noise are the so-called political leaders, not the masses
The masses move according to the direction of the political leaders.
For instance, in 2019 you were an Atikulator but in 2023 you moved to become an Obidient.

Obidients have launched vicious attacks against Tunde Onakoya in the past 24 hours because he visited President Tinubu.

1) Some accused him of being a fraud. They say that he does not really care about the kids, because if he cared about the kids he would hate Tinubu who caused their situation.

2) They say that he is only doing the NGO thing for fame and money.

And they have hurled all kinds of insults at him.
Obidients attacked this amiable man? What for nah?! This is getting out of hand please...

They know see idea steal from the interview like they have been doing. When they steal and implement it badly. They begin to defend it that even obi said he will execute the same policy. I said I will do it.How I will achieve it is now the difference. It is never a one way traffic.
Obi go finish them with BP before the coalition that is coming.
Thr only bet now left is rigging via governors.Nigerians will resist rigging in 2027 they have been pushed to the wall by hunger, poverty corruption and insecurity they have taken to highest level in just 2 yrs
Ifele adiro gi n'anyi o! If as an Igbo man you were not ashamed of that interview then inwere serious problem maka chukwu!

An organised manner means dealing with the corruption behind the subsidy and not the subsidey itself!

Everyone knows the subsidy claim was grossly inflated. The country was not consuming the daily amount of products quoted and this figure was the basis for the subsidy calculation. If this was tackled, then it would have dropped to payment drastically.

All Obi is saying is that you cannot remove the subsidy and float the naira at once thereby burdening the citizens! What Obi is saying is that other governments had programmes that they used the savings for. There was PTF and there was SURE P... this government has given more money to the states from the savings but this is clearly not working. Youve just made richer governors . Then a huge chunk has gone to a contract to the company of your bosom friend. Clearly, the savings were not for the benefit of the people but to coerce the governors for their (which is working) and enrich cronies.

Why didn't he say what you just said in the interview?

The best way to respond to Peter Obi is with your performance.
All these media attacks and propaganda will not save tinubu.
So Obi couldn't provide "the right way" in the interview?
Okay... let him organize a press conference and outline that his "right way" of removing subsidy
Is that hard?
