you mean to say she too no chop ? grin grin

That I can not speak to, but I know she did some good work.

You have got to give it to Hadiza. She does her best to bring sanity to a corrupt institution which unfortunately she's a part of. I interacted with her when she was MD, NPA and you could tell she was on a mission to build an institution to be proud of. She was like a new Sheriff in town at the time and everyone in the Agency had to buckle up. That much i witnessed. Reminds one of Dora Akunyili, though still a long way to go, to match her strides!

So,you know better than all oil& gas professionals working with him? Where your knowledge of the industry ends is where someone else's expertise starts
I can assure you that once you are there working for politicians, you just tell them what they want to hear. Let me give you few examples ...you can have an AFE of $30M approved for a 12k ft shallow offshore well but while drilling, you get stuck 5 times and spend weeks, even months fishing and sidetracking a fish, that well may end up costing $60M and there's nothing anyone can do about it. What about security, that's a major archiles heel, you don't want to know how much companies pay formally and informally to keep their staff and infrastructure safe and secure. What about the various regulatory authorities that must be taken care of, otherwise they will frustrate you and not give you required approvals; NUPRC, NOSDRA, NIMASA, NCAA, NNPC etc. I can go on and on. That order is a mere rhetoric, it won't move a needle. We can come back 2 years from now to assess how far that order has been effective.
okito: 2:18pm On May 30
PBAT is clearly a novice. This is my industry! You can't issue any order like this and it will work. There's a lot of complexity that will make nonsense of this order.

Generally, things are more expensive at Shoppers. You can get the same Coke for half the price at some other retail stores. That said, even at $2:50, that's what the lowest earning Canadian makes in 10 mins, whereas N400 is what the lowest earning Nigerian makes officially in 1 hr. We know some people even make less than that 70k per month. Bottom line, purchasing power is much lower in Nigeria. By the way, the lowest earning Canadian will also get child care benefits, rents assist etc monthly from the Government. If you have 2 kids less than 10 years and live in a rented apartment in Manitoba for instance, you could be getting at least $2000 monthly from provincial and federal governments added to your regular wages!

Career fulfilment for me having been a part of OPL 2007 converted to OML 150. This production would have started much earlier had Dieziani allowed Conoil to move at the pace the Company had proposed which was a win-win for everybody but for corruption and bureaucracy!

As a teenager in the 90s, I knew this Fred Ajudua as a scammer. 30 years after, he's still being arrested for the same offense. When "419" came to be, Fred was the symbol that represented what it stood for.
They should just send him to life imprisonment. Full stop!

That was elders praying for someone not Jesus talking, and I never said Jesus wishes poverty on anyone, when Jesus talked about wealth he wasn't referring to wealth on earth.
Read Matt 19: 21-24.
Matt 19: 23-26
Those were ages with Jesus involvement and words not what you quoted
Let me correct you.

It was Apostle John onishing the elder, Gaius.

Words written by the Apostles, i believe are from teachings they received from Jesus Christ and inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

So, I insist Jesus wants us to prosper financially, physically and spiritually but he does not hate people who are poor. He loves everyone and that's why I disagree with the prosperity preacher.

Thank you.

How does that scripture translate to Jesus hating poverty, he wasn't even talking in what you quoted.
Inductive Bible study tells me that, sir/ma. If he wishes that you prosper above everything else, it means he doesn't want you to be poor.
okito: 1:50pm On Apr 14
I agree with him on one point...Jesus hates poverty (3 John 1:2). Everything else, I disagree. That Jesus hates poverty doesn't mean he hates the poor people, he infact loves them. Jesus hates sickness, does that mean he hates sick people? These endtime prosperity preachers will lead many astray because of their love for money. May God change their hearts!

I was flying between 2 American cities last week and I was so afraid with my wife and 3 kids all on board. The spate of crashes in the US lately is unprecedented. Even the Nigerian airspace is now safer than the American air space. Something is wrong and over the next one year, i m just gonna be driving from Canada to the states. I ve got just one life, I beg!

When I hear people talking like this, I just wonder exactly what they are trying to achieve. Ibiyomie doesn't want you to japa because that will affect his own tithes and offerings. Meanwhile I won't be shocked if his own children studied or even currently live abroad.
If you are in America, UK or Canada legally and you either skilled with your brain or hands, you will ball. If you don't have those skills but you are ready to work, other jobs are there to make you comfortable.
I have friends who run real estate in Nigeria and they tell me that over 70% of their clients live abroad!
Do you see how much diasporans remit into the Nigeria economy yearly Dey play!
Boyz are balling here. if you mingle rightly, you will see boys who are flourishing in IT, medicine, logistics, real estate; name it!
In conclusion, if you are doing well in Naija and have no intention to japa, please stay and make the best of the situation. Nigeria is also a great country. I will never cast aspersion on my country but sleep and death can not be compared.

I am not a Tinubu fan but this "lopsided"appointment, I love it. That's one thing he does that I am happy with. What seized Ndume's voice when Buhari northernized the country, sacrificing competence and integrity on the alter of ethnic bigotry. Let the North feel the pain too.

Now I am convinced that IBB will never rest in peace when he leaves this earth. The rest of his years will be in pain. Shameless Manipulator! He had it all and threw it all away. He would have been the 2nd military man to hand over to the civilians and he would have had very bright prospects of returning after 8 years as civilian President buy he threw it all away. Shame!!!

Your submission still makes you a slave to money... If I ever wish to relocate to any Whiteman land, seeking money or "better life" will NEVER BE ONE OF the reason.

I travel for tourism purposes and to studies other cultures, not seeking whatever is called "better life or opportunity"

Wow! Wonderful reasons for traveling! Have you traveled to all the tourist sites in Nigeria or you don't know we have so many? Why do you need to study their culture? you want to be "enslaved" It's okay if you don't desire better opportunities but don't judge those who do. It's their choice. How convenient of you to switch your argument to "slave of money". I guess you are a slave of poverty, abi?
okito: 1:57pm On Mar 26
Offpoint1:

Funny the fact you think modern day slavery has to do with work or profession.

On the other hand, are all the skills not needed in my fatherland? Can I be all of those in my fatherland?

Slavery starts from thinking a Whiteman land is superior to yours... That's the first step of slavery and the worse of it all, because it is mental.

Slavery is when you box yourself in a corner and think it's only when you remain in Nigeria that you are free. I stand on the fact that you might even be enslaved there in Nigeria but have an illusion that your are free simply because you are in your country of birth. Slavery is in many forms. You have to be a deep thinker to understand my line of argument. Tell a Doctor who makes Twelve million per annum in Nigeria, relocates to Canada, becomes licensed and starts making $350,000 (400 million naira) per annum, to return to Nigeria and use his skills, and see the response you ll get. Bro/Sis, free your mind and explore life to the fullest. BTW, I worked in upstream oil and gas at various levels before leaving and I can always return when I want. It's just good to have options. If you relate with people at the top in Nigeria, you will ask yourself why they all have their families abroad. Why do they all have a 2nd port? Think!
okito: 12:19am On Mar 26
Offpoint1:

Lol, you probably won't know me.

God forbid that I Leave my father land to go slave any Whiteman land for forever reason.

I've turned down 5 opportunities both from Nigerians and foreigners.

I will take N10,000 over any Whiteman land visa

I agree it doesn't make sense to go and slave in a foreign land or even in your own land. But it will shock you to know how many Nigerians are Directors and Vice Presidents in Canadian and American corporations. So, not all Nigerians are slaving here. If you are skilled and can prove it, then the opportunities are boundless.

That said, there is however a problem which is that most Nigerians are actually slaving in Nigeria, they just don't know it. If you do an object retrospect, you will understand. All the best!

OBJ was honest enough to declare that he's unsure of his exact age due to the illiteracy of his parents. What about one man who knows his true age but choses to provide different ages for different purposes and different secondary schools for different political aspirations. God help Nigeria.

I do not believe that Tinubu was not privy to Obasa's removal. What iI believe is that Obasa returned and threatened to sing like a canary and he knows too much so the President has had to backtrack, claiming he had no hand in his removal. This is the same technique employed by Ambode after EFCC tried to arrest him from hi Epe home but the indigenes resisted. Today, Ambode is being considered for a 2nd term. It's all politics and I hope Lagosians will win, not the politicians.
