And the POGROM was for Unity too.??

..

The Pogrom was the Cause of Everything.!!

..

After the Counter-Coup,, and then the assassination of Ironsi,, Gowon took over..

Everything was supposed to have ended there.
Dialogues must have started.
But No.

They started-off a deadly Pogrom..

If only they kept even parts of the Aburi accord, lives would have been saved but now it is too late. The country is now in an unending Civil War with herdsmen and bandits. They discarded the whole Aburi accord and they are here blaming Ojukwu

Discipline to the unruly

They should not have started what they couldn't finish.

And that's why others en-slav3d them grin
It’s clear you didn’t follow the damn conversation. Gowon tried to whitewash genocide as a quest for unity, and here you are peddling slave-master narratives like history doesn’t . You talk about "enslaving a tribe"? Are you out of your mind? You mean the same tribe whose soldiers humiliated and annihilated the entire 2nd Division of the Nigerian Army—not once, but five times—forcing your so-called GOC to flee into cowardly exile until the end of the war?

You mean the same Biafran fighters who decimated the 3rd Marine Commando from a mammoth 33,000 troops—nearly a quarter of Nigeria’s current military strength—to less than 1,000 survivors? Or are you forgetting that every Nigerian Head of State, except Gowon, carried lifelong scars from the wrath of the Biafran military?

Let’s not even talk about the killing of Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff by Biafran forces—during the war. And while you’re crying wolf about tribal enslavement, humanitarian organizations like the Red Cross and Médecins Sans Frontières were being deliberately targeted and shot at, in clear violation of every rule of war.

So tell me—who the hell was enslaving who?

This estate beat some estate in Enugu State. I only pity some people that compared Ibadan city centre to some city in the South East.

Like which estate did you compare it with in Enugu, Abriba is finer than this. Independent layout is far finer, the estate it is not even a mid tier estate, odogwu will not look at it twice

ojukwu did all these to garner aids from d West n it didn't work

One day when an unbiased person analyse how ojukwu used his hands to destroy u people during the needless war then u will understand better.

.the reason u are playing victim today is because Nigeria decided to mute about what happened during the war.
..

Hope u know many reasons y d south south always deny wanting to have anything with u lots?

Hope u know till today south south people still celebrate freedom Day from Biafra?

Ojukwu also carried out the Asaba massacre of innocent young boys and men ?

The devil’s greatest crime wasn’t violence or rebellion — it was ambition. The audacity to imagine his throne among the stars of the North cost him everything. Now, think twice before you romanticize your own dreams. No matter how noble or harmless they seem, in this country, your ambition can become your death sentence — not because of what you want, but because of where you come from. In some places, dreaming is dangerous.

I saw someone talk about Awolowo house. I know one mad igbo boy , under 30 will buy it and demolish it or turn it into his boys quarters.

Please my brothers, invest in Dubai if you can, invest in US too , forget Nigerian real estate. The devaluation of naira has robbed it of value

....but why are Yorubas so scared of Igbo tribes and sub tribes being united but they will be the first to hang on to their conquered brothers in Northern Fulani territories of Kwara and Kogi states. However, whether the Ikwerres are Igbos or not, what difference does it make.Who cares!
Tomorrow, bring an Ikwerre man for presidency, they will now tell you that they can not vote an omo igbo.During riots,if they come across an Ikwerre man's property in Lagos,it will be targeted and burnt down and they will put up an owambe that they finally rendered that 'stupid' omo igbo homeless.
Last last we go dey alright for Nigeria.

It is the same insecurity that will make sense in 20 years time when Lagos start reaping the xenophobic seeds they're sowing today

he said he is an igbo man , and he is in the Ikwerre group that claim igbo ancestry , what exactly do people want him to say again, this applies to the Ngwa, Owerri , Nnewi, Obosi , Asaba etc .

The way Ohafia dresses and speaks is different from the way an Mbaise or Orlu or Wawa or Ezza or Obosi or Ikwerre dresses. lets be fair to the Ikwerre people, they took so much igbophobia during the war from Nigerian demons, they would have been massacred like the Asaba people by Agents of devil

what becomes of Akwa Ibom if this man drags Akwa Ibom into APC can only be imagined , Akwa Ibom , the privilege you go through fasting is about to be lost through carelessness on an individual. The Governor should at least see the big picture

UYO – In a dramatic turn of events during a town hall meeting in Ikot Abasi, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State announced his intention to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC)—but was met with resounding opposition from the crowd.

“We’re progressively moving forward, linking Akwa Ibom to the center. And I know you’re going with us. Are you going with us, so we can connect to the center?” Eno asked.

However, in response to the governor’s call, a thunderous “No!” erupted from the audience, overshadowing the handful of “Yes” voices, creating a tense atmosphere in the crowded venue at the Ikot Abasi Local Government Grounds.

Despite the pushback, Governor Eno continued to make the case for defection, citing the need for Akwa Ibom to “belong and be counted” in national politics, and to President Bola Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“We thank you for your . I’ve gone round to consult… And so we have done enough consultation. The time has come that we will move. And we will go to where God is leading us,” the governor said.

“Do not be afraid. Believe in us. Believe in President Bola Tinubu because the future is bright. We are already a minority state in Nigeria. If we come again and start breaking ourselves into pieces, we become minority of the minorities and cannot get anything.”

He emphasized the importance of unity across party lines and declared that Tinubu, Akpabio, and himself must return to office in 2027.

Governor Eno’s comments mark a significant political shift in Akwa Ibom State and have sparked heated reactions, suggesting the road to realignment may not be as smooth as anticipated.

The Igbo nation already has more than enough population than it needs
Trust me , this will trend for sometime.

Anything to trigger igbo disunity or igbo denial will sell like a hot cake in Nigeria , someone once said that if you want to get sympathy from certain sections of the country , you have to exhibit enough anti igbo sentiment and rhetorics to get recognition from APC and certain parts of the country , Reno Omokiri is using this, Nyesom Wike is using this , sunday Oliseh once used this and it failed , i am not sure Sabinus tried it

This was a quote from John Nwodo in 2017 can someone provide more insight into this

The Head of the Political Division of the American Embassy, Abuja once said that Ndigbo constitute the largest block of highly educated black population in the United States and that they are all in significant professional occupations. He stated that if Ndigbo in America save 40% of their earnings, it would be more than half of the total annual oil revenue of Nigeria. As an economist, I know that at this point in our quest for development, it is paramount to change the Igbo psyche from our propensity for heavy investments primarily in real estate to setting up industries and factories with the potentials for wealth creation. Such production units will offer jobs and incomes to our youths and grow the Igbo economy. The factories I must point out should of course be sited in Igbo land and not elsewhere. My people, this is not rocket science as we have done it before. We built the second cement factory in Nigeria – NIGERCEM, Nkalagu; the second brewery in Nigeria – the Golden Guinea Breweries in Umuahia; first Building material Industry in Nigeria – Turners Asbestos and Iron and Steel plants in Emene; the Port Harcourt MICHELIN Tyres and legally speaking, the first indigenous university in Nigeria, UNN. During this time, the World Bank recognized South Eastern Nigeria as the fastest growing economy in Africa. We can do it again.

Ask them for a basic economic forecast — just a simple, coherent outlook — and suddenly it’s like lighting a match in a madhouse. What you get instead is a cacophony of clueless babble, pitifully incoherent noise, and a parade of excuses so ridiculous they’d make a toddler’s tantrum sound like a TED Talk. It’s not just incompetence — it’s an unholy symphony of intellectual laziness, cowardice, and unforgivable failure to do the bare minimum.
