You guys will always find fault in any good things.
It's your way of life. What a shame?
Have your own parents paid back theirs?

Neither of My parents borrowed money from nobody, not FG, not Personal and did not pay back. Absolutely no one at all.

Definitely, but he paid back based on the dollar value, his effort is to be commended.
Commended?? Comedy!

Why is he just paying now? It's obvious he has been a rich man for a while now, So why is he just paying back now?
Why Didn't he pay back 5 or 10 years ago?
(Assuming this is not political media games, which it very obviously is )

LCDAs exist only in Lagos and possibly other SW states. There are no LCDAs in say Kano or Rivers States
Okay. In the absence of LCDAs, he may use only LGAs and or areas within LGAs, if he is patient enough to check up and search.
LGAs, bigger ones, it will be best or at the very least be divided into different major parts and areas.

Do not be deceived… this news is political antics meant to glorify their flawed student loan…
Yes, that's very obvious..

Calculation is still wrong... very wrong.

Nobody in the whole NELFUND to CBN, to the Media Propaganda team could spot or correct this?

You need access to the automated control room system to distribute Power . If the staffs on shift switch on the line for a particular area it will automatically or manually be collated to the API which will send a request and show on the app.
No, you don't have to at all. Far from it.
There is a much simpler way to go about it.

You assume that LCDAs is a Nigerian thing which it isn’t. Let’s stick with LGAs which is universal across all 36 states
LGAs will be harder to make output well balanced, nigeria and it's electricity being what it is. LCDAs, is the sane, standard way to go about it. I would have said area, but that's way too vague, and may require much more work (though it's unlikely really, as it's just extra spaces).
LCDA is okay, even though many areas or neighbourhoods Can still have different light patterns within the same LCDA.

Also what do you mean by this? 👉🏽 "You assume that LCDAs is a Nigerian thing which it isn’t"
What does it being a Nigerian thing or not have to do with anything??

Yeah, Generally solid article, fairly intellectual and all, but you (or the writer) messed it up when you got to here..

Then a person born in 1985 thinks that their grandparents have no idea how difficult life is, not knowing that they have survived several wars and catastrophes.

Currently, after having gone through a pandemic....

NO. Not that.
Adjust the USD for inflation over the years too.

Stop digging a hole for yourself and train your mind to think properly.
I said corresponding value, NIGERIAN pounds or whatever was spent, would it have been possible it have a ₦1500 car? Yes absolutely.
No, I did not set out to argue with you at all. Just checking some things with you, as is done in a discussion site.

You shared valuable data on your original comment.
And I don't align with the original posts, the OP and all. We all know and its basic common sense that 1500 naira was a lot of money in 1977 and even in 1984.

Like I said the problem with many of you is that you do not know your history. There was no Naira in the 50s or 60s. Also 504 did not exist till 1968.
Okay, yes, there wasn't.
But corresponding value that is...
Also in your pic, one Toyota car there was 2000 something Naira... So it was fairly possible.

And lastly, I'm not part of the "many of You". I'm an educated millennial, immersed and grew up in history.

Nice, what to pull data for this from??

What's the pic shown for this ??
From s input... there will be space for that.
So it will collate it, and then main app will show it
GreaterFuture(m): 3:59am On Aug 27, 2024

Yes
Create a program or app, that shows which areas or LCDA in Nigeria has light (electricity) the most.
From best to worst.
Availablity for data entry would be a thing.
Central output will show which place or places are the best.
To make it easier, I've subdivided it into LCDAs and LGAs (publicly available info).
Again, it will show top areas with light and LGAs too with light, as Multiple LCDAs make up a LGA...

That was 1977, because my father bought his 504 4000 naira In 1983.

I was wondering o.....

My papa bought a brand new 504 with AC for N20,000 in 1984 and a beetle for N6,000 for my brother later in the year.

20k in 1984?

Never in the history of Nigeria has a brand new 504 cost N1,500.

Okay...
So it probably did in the 60s... Or 50s
So you won't say "never in the history of Nigeria" has a car cost that...

Nigeria's money crumbled a long time ago.

My Dad said he bought his first fridge for 600 Naira.

He could very well feed with 20 Naira in a month.

His salary was 250 Naira when he got married to my Mum and they were doing very fine.

What year exactly was this please?
and what was his Job that fetched him that money

The receipt is false! I can see May 1977 there!
................................................................................................
Following the 1984 narrative:
That N1,080 is just over N2 Million now!

In 1984, N0.77 = $1 (If i'm not wrong o grin)

So N1,080 = $1402.60

Naira was balling then!

$1402.60 now = N2,103, 896.10k @ N1500 per $
.................................................................................................
Following the 1977 narrative written on the receipt:
That N1,080 is just about N2.5 Million now!

In 1977, N0.65 = $1 (If i'm not wrong o grin)

So N1,080 = $1661.54

Naira was really balling then!

$1661.54 now = N2, 492, 307.69k @ N1500 per $
Calculation is still wrong... Adjust the USD too

You should state your budget also. Note that very fast charging and budget devices are two parallels for now.
Okay. If It is midrange, that's okay.
Budget is 400k to 500k. And long lasting battery is more important than super fast charging pls, no matter how bad, 33w and 67w upwards is still very okay.

I wonder, how many people had 1000 that year? I am sure a brand new benz woulda been sold at 40 naira at the time, but how many people could afford it at the time? cheesy
about 12.4M today...
In those was what 1000 naira was in that year.

The salary of the president was 30k a year, vice President ₦24K

How easy was 500 naira and 1000 naira in 1979?
What is the true corresponding value today?

This is a very old pattern to talking, even very illiterate people can't be carried by this anymore... Extremely irritating man.
