You are not Intelligent. How many countries in Africa not producing oil has collapsed?

Even that Oil, the SW is the 2nd largest producer in Nigeria.
Gbam. Exactly.

The parasitic region in Nigeria is the SE. That region should be cut out of Nigeria. It's a waste land. No wonder their politicians are not pushing for Biafra, no no better than the IPOB touts on the street Igboland. They know their Biafria would be worst than the worst place country in Africa. Even the white powder pushing and fake drugs they are good at won't save them.

All these baseless reports just to spite Igbos, I just laugh, how I wish this country should just be divided already, come to Lagos and visit all the popular markets infact I can literally say Igbos have over 33% of revenue, the heart of every nation is trade and Igbos are in the forefront of it. If Igbos are to leave Lagos and move back to their region, you will be surprised at the vacuum they will leave behind. All this report nah trash to me.
Victim mentality don start. grin

The data only came out to confirm what some us already knew to be true. An empty barrel makes the most noise. When we tell them that what brings economic growth to a region is its human capital and not access to the sea port. They'll say, "Just give us a seaport like Lagos and see what we will do." Now statistics have shown that Kano state, which has no single seaport , is doing even better than some states that have access to the ports.
To be honest, I am surprised no one has told us to remove the seaport in Oyo State. grin

Nigeria is very useless country. A country of "monkey dey work, baboon dey chop".

If Nigeria was divided, some region would be worst than Somaliland and Darfur in Sudan..

We now know the real parasites. It's not even the north.
Even with the terrorism in the North East, it's still a more productive region than the South East.

Truly, the empty barrel makes the loudest noise.
Stats don't lie, it's no surprise Igbos are fleeing their own region for other parts of Nigeria. The irony is that they are even the region asking to be independent of Nigeria when they are actually the ones leeching on Nigeria. This is what happens when they allow dunderheads like Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa lead them.

Somebody on tweeter said Igbos were using 100 Billion Naira to play 3 sure odds. grin

Diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

U.S. President Donald Trump 's istration moved Tuesday to end affirmative action in federal contracting and directed that all federal diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) staff be put on paid leave and eventually be laid off.

The moves follow an executive order Trump signed on his first day ordering a sweeping dismantling of the federal government's diversity and inclusion programs that could touch on everything from anti-bias training to funding for minority farmers and homeowners. Trump has called the programs "discrimination" and insisted on restoring strictly "merit-based" hiring.

The executive order on affirmative action revokes an order issued by U.S. president Lyndon Johnson, and curtails DEI programs by federal contractors and grant recipients.

It's using one of the key tools utilized by the Biden istration to promote DEI programs across the private sector — pushing their use by federal contractors — to now eradicate them.

The Office of Personnel Management in a Tuesday memo directed agencies to place DEI office staffers on paid leave by 5 p.m. ET, Wednesday and take down all public DEI-focused web pages by the same deadline. Several federal departments had removed the web pages even before the memorandum.

Agencies must also cancel any DEI-related training and end any related contracts, and federal workers are being asked to report to Trump's Office of Personnel Management if they suspect any DEI-related program has been renamed to obfuscate its purpose within 10 days or face "adverse consequences."

By Thursday, federal agencies are directed to compile a list of federal DEI offices and workers as of Election Day. By next Friday, they are expected to develop a plan to execute a "reduction-in-force action" against those federal workers. The memo was first reported by CBS News.

The move comes after Monday's executive order accused former U.S. president Joe Biden of forcing "discrimination" programs into "virtually all aspects of the federal government" through "diversity, equity and inclusion" programs, known as DEI.

That step is the first salvo in an aggressive campaign to upend DEI efforts nationwide, including leveraging the U.S. Justice Department and other agencies to investigate private companies pursuing training and hiring practices that conservative critics consider discriminatory against non-minority groups such as white men.

The executive order picks up where Trump's first istration left off: One of Trump's final acts during his first term was an executive order banning federal agency contractors and recipients of federal funding from conducting anti-bias training that addressed concepts like systemic racism.

Biden promptly rescinded that order on his first day in office and issued a pair of executive orders — now rescinded — outlining a plan to promote DEI throughout the federal government.

While many changes may take months or even years to implement, Trump's new anti-DEI agenda is more aggressive than his first and comes amid more amenable terrain in the corporate world.

Prominent companies from Walmart to Facebook have already scaled back or ended some of their diversity practices in response to Trump's election and conservative-backed lawsuits against them.

The Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Reverend Callistus Onaga, has condemned the pervasive killings and criminality in the South-East, labelling it as "self-destruction."

Onaga, who spoke during his Christmas media briefing on Tuesday, expressed concerns that the people of the South-East had become cowards of their own actions, allowing a few individuals to profit from their destruction.

"Why will we sit down and plan our own destruction and few people will be profiting with that," he questioned.

Onaga noted that the region has been plagued by violence since 2021, with locals killing each other under the guise of fighting against their oppressors.

"Here in the South East we started killing ourselves saying that we are killing those who are supposed to be killing us. We are destroying ourselves. We have done it for the past three years since 2021.

"We have become cowards of our own actions here in the South East."

He emphasised the need for forgiveness and an end to the cycle of violence.

The bishop also drew attention to the alarming ethnic cleansing in the North East and North Central Nigeria, where locals are being killed and their properties destroyed by both state and non-state actors.

He criticised the tendency to blame foreigners for these atrocities, insisting that Nigerians themselves are responsible.

Let's go over to the North East and all other parts of the North politics and ethnic cleansing," more especially in Benue State where the people are subjugated.

"We are doing a little bit of ethnic cleansing in some areas and then we are blaming the foreigners. No we are the one doing it," the Bishop Onaga insisted.

Speaking on the economic situation in the country, the Bishop appealed to the political elites to prioritize the welfare and well-being of the people.

"Can our politicians think otherwise and begin to make things easier. Will our politicians begin really believe that we the led have some measure of intelligence."

Bishop Onaga prayed for the country to overcome all the challenges impeding development through the coming of Christ and Christ celebration in this Christmas.

"My dear fellow Nigerians let us not add to the sufferings that are coming onto us by making things more difficult. At the Christmas celebrate with everybody, bring down your prices, bring down whatever you are doing.

"Yes even in the church you should do something bring down whatever lavies so that people can really feel the impact of the celebration of love and celebration of joy at Christmas."

Onaga's comments come as a call to action for Nigerians to take responsibility for their actions and work towards a more peaceful and harmonious society.
