Asides the part where he stood up and left, I don't think that guy did anything wrong.

He wasn't cool with steph-kids which is fine!

Kindheartedd:
Hi parents.

Please I need help, my 9 years old son is very slow at learning. Not to say too much:

He started schooling at 2 ( from nursery)
I spend time to teach him and when I noticed I wasn't patience with his speed I hired a home tutor.
Aside the home tutor I still personally teach
I am not an absentee mother at allllll. There is hardly a day I don't teach him 1 or two things.

But

My son never assimilate, I teach him 1 thing for 1 year buy na lie he will forget it.

Am sad, am unhappy I have done all humanly possible, he is lazy, reading is had for him, 2 times table is war. To add 2 to 2 is war, I pay home tutors with no results. This is wastage, atimes I stop and I begin again. I pay extra for lessons at school no results.

Am crying and tired, I have no one one to help, am all alone in this. Am in pain, I don't know how long this will go. I don't want him to end up with poor grades and can't move on with school.

Am so scared and I don't know how this will end. Am weak and full of pain concerning this boy.

I need tips, I have used pictures, audio, video, YouTube, everything. I don't know if this is spiritual, I have prayed. Done all I could do. He can't even spell 3 letter words, it's that baddddddd.

Atimes I ask myself how years ed by that he hasn't still improved but looking back, I haven't rested all the years.
I understand how you feel ma...
But your son is not a problem. I can imagine the frustration spending so much money and it seems all is a waste.
Let him keep learning... he will turn out well in life.

Try to know his interest and double down on that instead... If possible, introduce him to tech to see if that will catch his attention instead.

I see people here complaining about their bet addiction but I can tell you for free that's child's play compared to my fruitless journey in music.

I just wonder why I have so much ion, love and energy for something that will never work for me in a million years. And it's been like that since I was 5. I just wondered why God didn't kill this ion inside me.

I am going to be 31 on my next birthday and am here in my parents house after wasting millions of naira on my failed career.

I could have had a decent life with my own wife and probably a kid or 2 but here I am in debts because of another failed music venture.

To add insult to injury, everybody here hates me more than anything probably because have disturbed their Earlobes with the horrible things I sing that I call music.

As much as I will like to read people's comment here, I doubt I will be emotionally capable because am afraid I will still be insulted due to hatred people have for me here.

My prayers for everyone is may you never be in love and ionate about anything or anyone that won't work out with you or for you.

Amen!
Hello
What you have is not a curse... It is a gift that many wish to have.
Now, that you are talented in something and have ion in it does not necessarily mean you have to make a livelihood out of it.

There are so many talented people that can sing or even play football. But, if they had kept pushing to make a living out of it, time would them by.

It is never too late to start again... please, seek another venture for survival while still enjoying your ion of singing for now to yourself and those around you that care about it.

Should I be Worried about this Gecko?
Are Geckoes really agents of witchcraft?
In the Game of Thrones season 1; "...a mad man sees what what sees" - Ned Stark

Sacrifice the gecko whether it's innocemt pr guilty... At least, that will save you from all these mental awareness and inner ponderings.

Worryingly:
Hello,

So I have a niece who has become a daughter to me. She lost both her parents in a widely published interstate public transport accident more than 10 years ago and I took her in. At the time, she was just 12 and i had just graduated. She has been living with me ever since. I saw her through secondary school and university till she got married 3 years ago to a friend of mine.

Now, this my friend was in the same fellowship with me in school and he had been of immense help to me when I was in school, even contributing a couple.of times to my school fees. One time he paid for my hostel fee in full in my final year as he had a business then. Even after graduation, we were still good and he helped me get my first job. But thank God, I later moved on from the job and doing very well for myself elsewhere now. Even though he is still more financially more stable.

Along the line, he told.me.he liked my niece and with my consent, they got married.

The problem now is that he treats my niece/daughter very badly. Loads of emotional and verbal abuse even accusing her of killing her parents and how she is useless and not up to his standard. I have interceded a couple of times, but no signs of the issue abating. He has no regard for me, and relates with me like a nobody. And covertly disrespects me.

Now, each time I want to take things up seriously with him, I'm reminded that he has been very kind to me. How he helped me over the years. That without him, I wouldnt have made it. Even to the extent of telling people that I'm ungrateful. That despite everything he did for me, I'm keeping malice with him.

I maintained that while I genuinely appreciate all he did for me. All that too has been overtaken by events. You cant be abusing my daughter and expect friendship and loyalty from me. I've been badly guilt tripped in this whole thing and sometimes I'm conflicted. Am I supposed to trade solidarity to my daughter for loyalty for a friend who doesmt regard me. We haven't spoken in months and he keeps telling people that despite all he did for me, I've decided to blank him.

Kindly advise. Nlfpmod

My sister... Stand for your niece. Do not allow yourself to be blackmailed into accepting nonsense.

The South West is liberal to a fault. It may turn to a curse

By Lawrence Ibe

I am a full blooded Igbo man but I believe the Yoruba's need to rise up and defend their identity, land, and culture. It's unfortunate to say this but the truth needs to be said by someone. We the Igbo's can no longer continue to be territorial in another mans land. We go to a place, they welcome us with an open hand, we establish there and prosper and the only way to show appreciation to them is to declare their land a "no man's land" How is this possible? Every land has indigenes.

You are right... But you need to go back to history to know why Lagos was called a No Man's land after the war and FESTAC festival.

Obavoh:
Since Bandits attacked my village last year, we had to abandon the 2 bedroom home that I built.

We have moved into the main town and I managed to rent a small but spacious room for my growing family.

The problem is that me, my wife and children all sleep in the same room now. This has affected the Romance between my wife and I.

The older children sleep on the floor and our last 2 babies sleep on the same bed with us. We demarcated the bed with a small curtain for privacy.

I have to make sure the children are asleep before I can touch my wife but I always feel the older children are light sleepers. Since we moved here I have not been successful in showing love to my wife.

Out of frustration, my wife and I started bathing together around 5a.m in the morning but the landlord warned me seriously and said such a thing is forbidden in his Gida so we stopped.

I work Monday to Sunday during the day so I only have night time to spend with my wife. I am losing my happiness.

I really understand your frustration about this... I pray God blesses you more so that you can get a more suitable apartment.
You guys should manage for now, it is all a matter of time.

I will definitely pay a visit to them(CRIN). I have checked them out on the net, they offer trainings and all.
I reside in Alakuko area of Lagos state. But I will visit the farm twice a month at least.
Are land cheaper on the outskirts of Ibadan and free of thefts? Are there cashew farmers there also?

Thank you for taking your time to answer my questions 🙏
If you take your time to search, you will get affordable lands around.
At least, something not a far from lagos like Eruwa

Good morning pals, do people really adapt to the cold weather when they travel abroad (U.k and Canada as case study ) this is especially for people who are allergic to cold and suffer in mild cold weathers in Nigeria : For instance Danny, a popular influencer on X once wrote about how he quickly ran back to Nigeria from the Uk after experiencing intense cold . I believe there are a lot of people who are like that too me inclusive …

So do people really adapt or is it a live-long situation of suffering and managing the weather condition.
Yes! You will adapt...
Adaptability is part of the attributes of a living thing.

Good morning guys.

Due to the current state of the economy, I have saved up some money to venture into cash crop farming ( cashew to be precise).
From my little research, I found out that cashew farming in prevalent in some of parts of Oyo. I confident in my mum and she called a man who is an indigene. He told us that land is available for 500k per acre of which I intend to get two acres.

My fears are :

I have never acquired a property before. I intent to employ the service of a property lawyer for verification.
The price seems a bit outrageous. Is there anyone who has gotten a piece from iseyin or Eruwa precisely to help confirm the actual value.
Is Fulani herdsmen still causing havoc in the region. This is the most important question as its safety first
Anyone that’s into cashew farming that can train me for just a week ( I will pay for the consultation) but should be a practicing farmer. You can recommend me to one if you know any.
Any other advise that you feel I need to know.

Please kindly advise me accordingly and don’t tell me to Japa embarassed. Would have love too but no means. Thanks you guys
For training on cashew and it's business derivatives, pay a visit to Cocoa Researxh Institute (CRIN).
On the proce of the land, I feel it's quite outrageous but it still depends on where the land is situated in Eruwa.
If you reside in Ibadan, you need not to go all the way to eruwa... just check other outskirts of Ib.

But if you have the money and trust the Eruwa man, just go for it... Land verification for a land in Eruwa will be quite difficult as it is still kind of a rural settlement.

As regards to the issue of herdsmen, I think they hv such issues in Lanlate which is aftwr eruwa.. But, since you're investing in cashew plantation, you dnt need to worry about them as cows can't graze on Cashew tree grin

I wish you all the best in the venture...

A friend is thinking of going into agribusiness.
He's offered a loan of N1.1m by his bank on the following
1. Tenure 35months i.e. 3years
2. Repayment: Monthly Basis
3. Repayment amount: N48,000 (on reducing balance method)
4. Total repayment 48,000 x 35 = 1,680,000
5. Banks interest: N580,000
The above holds baring any increase in interest rate

Investment options available
1. there's an oil palm plantation for lease at N1m for 10years period
It's estimated that there'll be a net cash inflow of N50,000 per month from sales of unprocessed fruits.

This implies that the business will roughly break even in 2years. While it will also pay the said loan

Option 2
Buy a land worth of same N1m and plant the oil palm.
It's expected to start fruiting in 5 years. From the 6th year, the expected cash inflow would be about N50,000 per month ( ceteris paribus)

Note: the loan is given against his salary so repayment is based on his salary and not from the business.

So folks which of the two investments can he go for. Urgent please.

Re: Please Kindly Advise. Which Should He Go For? by DrDoc: 12:29pm
Neither. When he can get better deals on 5-6 months tenure. I offer far better returns on 6 months transactions
Option 2 seems to make long term sense.
But, I will advise he also adds a cash crop like cassava, maize or vegetables that can bring in quick cashflow.
