Reading the comments it is clear most of you do not even recognize when a house is crumbling.
With comments like “good for them now Nigerian brands can grow, MTN and DSTV should follow etc”

Look if these heavy big brands with all their money, technology, information and global experience cannot succeed in Nigeria what makes you think a much smaller brand with much lower pain tolerance and not much money will succeed?

Keep celebrating failures. Instead of learning from them, changing/editing policies as a result of them. You will not make any progress

Keep in mind that these people are wearing their best clothes, their best attires, this things they have on is not their house clothes and yet see how they look. I pity those of you still toiling in vain unknown to you especially the corrupt overzealous once amongst you the police, the army etc. Extorting people and brutally manhandling innocent civilians this is how majority of you will end up.
Just saying “God forbid” “not my portion” “over my d**d body” and other religious chants will not be enough to change your tax system and pension scheme.
Keep doing APC PDP north south etc. Una go cry

Naija sweet from abroad I swear, see as dem they take peoples children lives and futures play calo-calo, play game of thrones.

Whereas kids were I am are getting married, buying houses, saving for their retirements planning vacations a 22 year old in Nigeria cannot dream of any of these things infact the majority cant even dream of a real job that pays minimum wage or better you have to wait till you finish university before you MAY GET a good job but let us keep playing factional, regional, tribal politics. Big man politics, jagaban politics, Let us continue APC vs PDP, Igbo vs Yoruba.

Instead of policies, I mean; Immigration vs Anti immigration, Free education vs paid education, Privatization vs non Privatization, regulation vs Deregulation

What does APC or PDP or Labour Party stand for?what’s their party ideology? Are they anti immigration? Are they pro universal free healthcare? What are their stance on the farmer herder crisis? Which party is pro gun control (disarm the herdsmen) which party is saying arm farmers? Which party is pro choice? Which party is pro Renewable energy? Which party is saying reduce taxes? What do each party thinks about Nigeria intervening in foreign crisis and disputes “interventionism vs non interventionism”

For my friends abroad my age and younger most of them don’t even need to know who is running for what as long as it’s the Green Party they know what the party and most people in it stand for, if it’s republican even you Nigerians know what that party thinks about immigration, anti LGBTQ, taxes, anti gun control, no matter who is president you know what they will do and what they will not do, same goes for democrats you know they will be pro lgbtq, pro immigration, etc.

But you guys keep telling Atiku faction, Wike faction, Tinubu faction because the only thing your political parties care about is getting people in power regardless of the individuals ideologies as a result the political parties have no ideologies, no identity that is why Wike can move from PdP to APC seamlessly, Obi can move from PDP to Labour Party, Atiku can move from Nnpp, to Pdp to APC and back to pdp

Imagine Hilary Clinton or Obama moving from Democrats to Republican because they lost primaries 🤣 just imagine it. Or imagine Trump moving from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party 😂

So you nairalanders continue funfulling yourselves but I hope you know it’s your futures and that of your children they are playing with. With every new president that’s 8 years of your life wasted, 2 presidents = 16 years of your life gone and you still cannot boast of saving 1 million naira ($710) in a full calendar year.

Smh

The way corrupt people, thieves, kidnappers, yahoo boys, evil politicians etc have LARGE fan base in Nigeria tells you the country is going nowhere fast (especially not anywhere enviable anytime soon.

Yahya Bello, James Ibori sentenced in 2012 for fraud and money laundering, Orji Uzo kalu sentenced in 2019 to 12 years in prison for fraud, Bode George sentenced in 2009 for contract splitting, Tinubu not yet formally convicted 1993 drug money forfeiture, Hushpuppi, Abba Kyari, Evan’s the kidnapper, religious extremists disguised as alphas and pastors, tribal gingoists described as ethnic champions or tribal leaders just name any person who is known for haven done significant damage to the lives of regular average Nigerians

The way these people even after conviction and in the face of insurmountable evidence still have die hard fans just tells you that even if you replace these evil guys evil leaders criminals and thief’s the people coming in as replacements are also criminally minded.

(This does not mean we shouldn’t change these evil leaders we should) I’m just stating the obvious

Jobless headless EFCC

Only in Nigeria an Agency such as EFCC will catch someone and keep without first investigating or filling charges.

You catch am keep pending investigation where does that happen?

Before an agency like EFCC catch you, your file suppose done full, evidence done choke full their hand, so that when you are arrested it’s beg and negotiations you will be negotiating not all these ones.
Ok, assuming he actually committed a crime but you guys still have no evidence has this not clearly alerted him as to your incompetence? He will just go back home and destroy all the real evidence, because He now knows you know nothing. He knows you are fishing for things to rope him with hence the searching of his phone.

Una no Dey see how interpol and FBI dey arrest yahoo boys and others for airport? Didn’t you see hushpuppi case? Before they come for you like that dey have IRREFUTABLE evidence. They will tell you we know xyz which is enough to put you in jail for this number of years and we have more we will present in court if you don’t confess or tell us abc which we are still trying to figure out to rope in your boss or whoever then you have no option but to corporate and get reduced sentence or not corporate and get full sentence simple not this child’s play Pursue pursue Police catch thief called EFCC.

Let me add this: it is INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN Guilty not guilty until proven innocent, so they have no right to arrest him first then start investigation after his arrest.
To the ignorant people ing the arrest because it is VDM I hope you know if it can happen to VDM it can happen to you and your loved ones.
Infact if this is allowed to continue it means EFCC should or will arrest the full country one by one, First, beat all of us in the country, search our phones then start investigation after. If they are satisfied that you have nothing and feel like releasing some of us they do so if they feel they don’t like our faces or the way we chat online or one Facebook post we made from 3 years ago or we have one foreigner as friend online they can keep us locked up beyond 48 hours because “investigation is still ongoing” lol mumu country.

I am trying to shed more light on the clubbing business. I don't know if u are the clubbing type but if u are okay with someone who just sells crude oil to be billionaire in dollars, then someone who runs chains of night clubs and hotels can also be a billionaire in dollars. Drinks u buy for 50k in super markets are sold between 100 to 120k in night clubs. I do business with managers of night clubs so I know what I am saying.

Everybody in Nigeria used fuel for their cars, their generators, their Okadas, their religious buildings, their schools etc.
Check how many Nigerians go clubbing then check how many out of the number that goes clubbing actually buy drinks in the club. And come back with your findings

Human life has no value in Nigeria.

Tanker explosions, car accidents, terror attacks and more on a daily basis.
It doesn’t even make headline news even in Nigeria it is now so normalized and if we talk they say you are not patriotic 😆
If we talk they say you are spoiling somebody’s business. Allow them sell the fufu with detergent to people don't spoil their business, allow them use the dangerous cars on the road don't spoil their business, allow them sell fake and expired products don't spoil their business, allow them litter the streets and sell on the walk ways don't spoil their business…

Blaming everybody else but yourself that’s the Nigerian way.

Who in his right mind will save 10,000,000 or more in naira when he has access to Dollars?

Your naira losses 30% of its value on average every year due to inflation. Some years 35-40%
Whereas your banks only give 5% interest yearly. So do the maths.

Whereas these foreign currencies lose 1-3% yearly due to inflation if e too bad 5%

So do the maths.

Someone I knew was saving in naira, he kept telling me “Oboy you no go build your naira ”? 😆 I looked at him like he was dumb.
I said why? He said incase of anything in Naija or any emergency he can use his naira or send his people money or when he goes back to Nigerian bla bla bla

I laughed this happened in 2023 when it was $1 Canadian = 470 naira

As I type this today it is $1 = 1,150 naira
The money in his bank has lost 144.68% of its value in just 2 years.

This means
If ₦470 used to buy $1 worth of goods, now you need ₦1,150 for the same $1:
That means your ₦470 can now only buy about 41% of what it used to.
In other words, the naira buys less, so imported goods, fuel, electronics, and food (especially items priced in dollars) become much more expensive.

If your salary or savings hasn’t increased, you can now afford far less than before.
Example: If someone earned ₦100,000/month when $1 = ₦470, they effectively earned $212.
At ₦1,150 to $1, that same ₦100,000 is now worth only $87.

Money laundering?
All these men that are famous for being rich and their “businesses and investments” are not known I no dey jealous them na like this e dey alway be.

Dangote of Dangote group we know we see his businesses we can see the buildings the cement plants the refinery we can see, we use his cement we eat his sugar

Mark Zuckerberg we see his Facebook we use his Facebook

We shop on Jeff Bezos Amazon

We were taught Bill gates Microsoft in school we used Microsoft

Una dey drink Bernard Arnaults Moët and Hennessy every weekend you guys wear his Louis Vuitton to every red carpet event, every award show, ceremony etc.

But all these Odogwus, all these Oga’s famous for being rich, they are more famous than their businesses and still do not the alleged businesses they use as front or washing machine to launder money, some will come for me but how can 1 club somewhere in the east and 1 club in abuja make you a BILLIONAIRE in dollars 😆 you buy and sell and you have over head costs it’s not as if you produce or manufacture anything from scratch where we can say majority of the profit goes to you No, you buy and sell drinks, you pay musicians and performers to come perform and share proceeds with them, also Nigerians do not have as much disposable income for someone to become a BILLIONAIRE off 1 or 2 nightclubs how big are these night clubs na stadium? And what is the public’s perception on Nightclubs? Or clubbing? Is it good or bad? una never start.
Night clubs that are fronts for money laundering.

Nigerians are dum I swear, very gullible people if Nigerians were rich they’d be the easiest people to sc*m, they’d make great CL. That’s why religious leaders, politicians, tribal jingoists, criminals, touts and other shady characters are worshipped in Nigeria. Those are the people who grow and prosper in Nigeria.

But sha It’s only a matter of time, more will be exposed and e suppose shock people to their bones. 🦴

But Nigerians love idolizing these “big men” corrupt people as long as these people are rich so no shaking, they will come out from prison with a larger fan base.
