TheophilusA: Could it be that Strife Masiyiwa (Econet wireless Chairman) and his wife, Tsitsi are more inclined to side Pastor Anita in this divorce saga. Considering the fact that being one of the high profile financial partners in Christ Embassy, they have since left the church. I also observed from Mr Masiyiwa's facebook writings that he has very poor regards for people that don't treat their wives very well, to the extent of pulling out of companies/investments if he hears the company owner or CEO is not an honourable husband to the wife. |

After reading this well researched article, I am completely wary of the future of our kids with the explosion of internet and smart phones. I as kids, access to explicit magazines usually comes once in a blue moon, and yet we found our way to experiment with sex and masturbations. I want to commend Leke Adler for his pioneering work with this JacknJill organization, right from his twitter conversations to this helpdesk platform. For all the freedoms in the world is worth, we must find a way of getting legislative bills on banning/filtering explicit contents, to protect our kids and even adults that have been deeply hooked on it. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Police should stop giving excuses and simply follow the trends to improve on their job delivery. This is the 21st century! Technology should not be seen as a impediment, but as an enabler. I am very sure that the police have an official twitter handle. All they need to do once they see a crime posted up is to simply follow the victim on twitter, request for more information on location, time, and description of the perpetrators, and then take it from there. You can't sit down in your office in this age and expect people to travel all the way from the crime scene to come and report to you when they don't even have confidence that anything will be done, and on that you will be asking the victim to buy pen and paper for you to write the report, you guys should know that the police station is the last place any sane person will want to go, unless when it becomes completely unavoidable. |

Akpokuedike Igbo nine! Ndi Anambra adi eche ndi ocha. Responsiveness is the hallmark of leadership. In as much as we are running a useless form of a federal government, state governments should largely take the initiative to ameliorate the pains of her people before expecting the Abuja loafers. This is one of the reasons why we need to restructure this federation, local leadership must be empowered to take care of local problems, in that case people can hold their local leaders fully responsible for whatever they do or did not do, there will be no excuses about someone embezzling contract funds and running to Abuja for cover. 2 Likes |

I just noticed that his dress sense is damn too whack! Is he related to KC Limpopo in any way? Pins stripe suit + designed shirt + designed tie = Mc Wackie! Evil his old man was stylish enough to use a plain shirt with his own Pin stripe suit. |

dre11: If any Civil rights lawyer with a track record of convictions is ready to take up this case. I will put money down to ensure that this educated doctor and his wife are put behind bars. It's disheartening whenever I hear this kind of news, especially when the perpetrators should be the ones educating others about the evil of such acts. |

JAZES: There is nothing complicated about this. The number one thing you must know about your banking transactions is that you must NEVER give your PIN, OTP, , token number out to anyone, including the bank MD even if you know him personally. You opened your vault to the rogues, meanwhile you can liaise with FirstBank to freeze the if they have not withdrawn it already. |

Pa Clerk, even though himself is a confirmed turn-coat, may not be far from the truth about Abati. One of the few lessons I learnt from Jonathan's failure in politics is never to make people that publicly criticize you into your spokespersons. Jonathan chose two people who spent better part of their lives spilling bile, both directly and sarcastically on him, his family and his governance. It was a warped idea that employing Abati and FFK will make them to speak good of you, yeah they will try to earn their pay but it will never come from their hearts. They can't do a convincing job of selling your image because they never believed in you. It was clear that GEJ's image was completely battered and shattered for almost two years before the elections, in spite of the few good deeds that he did which should be generously promoted and pushed into the face of Nigerians. |

Bloomberg should go and sit down in the gutter! How many investors have ran away from the US because of the recent fines imposed on VW? If MTN likes, let them spend another N1trn in PR and propaganda all over the world trying to buy sympathy, it will not work. They brazenly flouted a directive that has been fully complied by 3 other competitors and expect that it is business as usual. How do you explain that you allowed not 100, not 1000, but a whopping 5 million uned lines to remain active, long after the deadline has ed. It will amaze some of you that if they declare the revenues they raked in from these illegal lines for all the periods in operations, you will even ask them to pay double of the fines. I wish I can have the ears of Buhari on this; they MUST PAY UP, and if they like, declare bankruptcy and sell off whatever is left of their equity and move away. Nigerians can rebuild it from scratch. I am really pissed off with these mindless capitalism that companies operate with in this country without consequences. Abroad, companies gets fined heavily for issues like this. In case you are not aware, VW was fined $18bn, yes eighteen billion dollars! for flouting emission threshold rules and deceiving the regulator. This is how sane societies work, do the crime and enjoy the proceeds, but once you are caught, you do the time. |

rman:Don't be too hot headed to reason. Read that report again, and my initial comment. I also thought the fine was ridiculous until I saw the NCC's statement that the Telcos were warned of a fine of N200k per single uned line. Now ask yourself why would 3 Telcos comply to the directive and not have a single uned line still in operations while MTN allows over 5 million uned lines in operations. We all know the economic sabotage these lines cause here, including but not limited to high increase in unresolved kidnap cases because the callers can't be traced. What we should be discussing is whether NCC will negotiate a discount for them or insist on exacting the stipulated N200k each for every single one of those 5 million active lines. We all long for our country to be great but when it comes to applying consequences of flouting the law, we bring in sentiments. Go and find out how much EU/US fine fortune 500 companies that flout laws over there, including Microsoft, BP, VW etc... You can go bankrupt for all they care, but every other company must know that rules are meant to be obeyed, that is how to build a working society. 1 Like |

Ol boy! Problems that only students can understand. That time when my GF in school got pregnant, it felt like the whole world was crashing down on me. So many questions were racing through my mind; so this is the certificate you were sent to come and receive here, can you see this is the end of your education here?, now you are going to be married, way ahead of your mates and suffer to raise this kid... etc. Now imagine on top of these thoughts, my babe told me amid tears one day 'that thing we were enjoying in hiding has been blown open' Haaaaaaaah!!! Mo gbe oooo!!! Today, I look back and thank God for seeing us through our youthful stupidity. Young people should tuck in their Dicks and face their education/future squarely My advice to you is that you should take the lady to a quite place, and have a very soul searching discussion, if you eventually decide that you are not ready to have the baby, please see a QUALIFIED GYNAECOLOGIST for further counselling. Do not, I repeat do not resort to cheap abortion practices that could endanger the lady's life. You will get over this with time. |

techmart: What about Polytechnics sticking to their purpose of establishments by churning out technically competent graduates who will not need to go and start competing with University graduates on the few or even non-existence white collar jobs. Do you know that most of the jobs illiterate artisans do can be done professionally by HND graduates with extra finesse (and people are willing to pay higher for quality jobs) if they actually have the skills, but no, they are just bearing certificates in building tech, with no idea why one block is laid on another during constructions. |

rman:Come on man, that was a sweeping statement with no substance. Nigerians actually run MTN, the only difference is that the SA company is the technical partner. Prior to the advent of GSM, no Nigerian company has technical capacity in GSM switching operations so none could have taken up the technical role, but it was Nigeria's high networth investors that pulled equity together for the funding. Stop looking down on Nigerians, we know what's up. That crimininaly minded politicians fleeced their states out of Econet investment does not take out the fact that their are also individual Angel investors in the same company who are still holding strong their shares. 1 Like |

When the news broke out initially, I saw the $5.2bn fine as an overkill and wondered how NCC just pulled those figures off the rat hole. But with this explanation that the riot act was read out to all Telcos about N200k fine per SIM, I think it is very much in order to exact the fine from them. However, MTN's defense is quite lame, using emplyment to scare us is rubbish, they can as well sell off their equity and leave. Econet has changed management over times, resulting in today's Airtel and Nigeria has not fallen because of it. Let me also remind MTN that in the beginning, after raising private equity, they promised to go public after about 2 years of operation, but they later completely reneged on that promise, today they are still a private company, denying the NSE a huge market share that could have been generated by their public trading, as well as denying a greater number of Nigerians the opportunity to their share-holding. All these impunities must stop, and I believe it is about time. 2 Likes |

Most Naija artists are just RECORDING ARTISTS and not PERFORMING ARTISTS. Recording artists have beautiful voices, they just hit the studio and drop lovely tracks, but that's where it all ends. They can't dance to save their lives, they have no energy to keep crowd on their toes, they can't even play any musical instrument. Inviting them to perform to live audience is a waste of resources. On the other hand, performing artists are the toast of Live performances. Dbanj in his prime? PSQUARE? |

This is the reason why I see Nigerian security efforts on exterminating Boko haram as a one handed swimming exercise. The BH foot soldiers supply stream is running at full course. There are hundreds of thousands of ignorant Almajiris roaming the streets, fully indoctrinated to hate education. The ministry of Information needs to start a massive public campaign, visibly endorsed by the Emirs, Sultans, prominent Imams and traditional rulers in North, proclaiming that 'WESTERN EDUCATION IS POWER TO SELF-DEVELOPMENT' Undercover agents need to find out the Imams that are doing these indoctrination and stop them from preaching, otherwise this war will still be with us in the next 50-100 years, I really don't see an end. 1 Like |

ga040: Sorry for your loss Dude. However I observed that you are too ignorant on simple security issues as regards payment cards. As at yesterday you had all your PAN (the numbers on card face) listed here, including the expiry date, meanwhile anybody in the know could have used those digits you freely listed to scam you again. Only your bank officials should have your card details if you are making such a complaint. The truth is that the way you go about exposing your card details, anybody could have used your details to shop online non-stop till the funds are finished, especially in the US market that is not EMV complaint to standard PCIDSS. The best thing is even to beg Seun to delete this thread because it is a clear evidence that you personally violated your card security. |

So just for common N33bn, they want to throw our kid bro, Ghana under the bus? Come on, we all know that any of our past Governors; Orji, Tinubu, Amaechi, Akpabio etc.. can single handedly issue that cheque on behalf of Ghana, instead of this National embarrassment to the people of Gold coast, abi gold dust ni? Any way, this puts into perspective the level of looting that goes on in this country, what individual governors loot at the end of their tenure in 'serving' their states are more than what independent countries need to survive. Just think about this! Going by PMB's body language on corruption before the elections, I was thinking that by now, all the Governors that have 'served' their pockets These guys can individually finance any other African country with what they looted! ![]() ![]() 1 Like |

Nice one Mr Ambode. I can see Bolaji Banwo street, Aguda which is a crucial road in the vicinity. However I'm surprised that the two most important/longest entry roads in Aguda: Brown road and Adetola street were not listed, even though they have been under perpetual construction for as long as anyone can . Please these two roads should be uppermost on the list of Coker/Aguda road project, including Onikoyi street, which is the link road that connects Brown road to cele Adetola. Anybody that knows the LCDA Chairman should show him this list. |

lexybabe: This is one of the trickiest part of medicine that I found out that book smart hardly teaches any doctor. Having an elder brother, who is a medic, he usually tells the stories of how they have this struggles in the hospital, where for some patients with no visible veins, it's always a huge battle trying to insert needles into the vein. Whether it is by intuition or special gift, the other doctors will always seek for his help whenever they have a tough case because he will usually get it right, almost at first try. It can be a harrowing experience for the patient who gets several needle stabs with the attendant pains added to his ailment. 1 Like |

I just can't understand what the issue with Oliseh and Enyeama is. When Enyeama lost her mother at the peak of the preparation for a match last month, Oliseh reported in a press conference that the dude didn't tell him the reason for not showing up, later we heard it was the guy's mother that was late. Is it possible that Enyeama did not call up his Coach to inform him of such a loss? This time around, the burial was just this weekend and camp was supposed to start on Monday? Didn't the Coach/NFF/home based Eagles attend the burial? How possible was it for anybody to finish his Mother's burial on the weekend and rush to football camp the next monday on a right frame of mind? I see lack of effective communication as the basis for these unnecessary dramas. Oliseh too should show more empathy as he is not running a military camp. 3 Likes |

HAHAHAHAAAAAA This is naivety of the highest order! For all the neophytes out there, there are three things you must NEVER argue with your boss, no matter how strongly you feel about the topic ; 1. Club football if you opposing clubs 2. Politics, if you are not aligned 3. Religion, if you are on the opposite ends People are too ionate about these issues that some times their rationality takes flight during arguments on them. Just nod your head at his own opinion and leave the matter, else YOU ARE FIRED! P.S. I don't need to tell you about staying clear from any lady he has interest in, that one will likely land you in a hospital. 4 Likes |

All these updates with their attendant glitches and frustrations. I've had to reset my SG S4 to factory setting after the Lollipop update caused the phone to stop booting up to home screen. Now I'll have to start re-installing all my numerous apps, SMS and media files are completely wiped out, and all the remedies I've seen online and tried ain't working. Let them be eating their marshmallows first, I won't touch it unless I buy a new phone that has it from factory. |
