Just pathetic. It's all games and politics to these guys. Not sure the good of the country is top of mind for these ones. |

All posturing. 2027 soup in the making. “At this point in my political journey, I have come to the conclusion that I must seek another political platform for the pursuit of the progressive values I cherish,” he said. Progressive values Indeed. And yes, it's very possible that the ruling party is causing issues in the opposition parties. But the reality is that the leaders in the opposition parties are also unserious. Blame games does not yield any tangible results. They should roll up their sleeves and work. |

Maybe Russia will bite with this agreement. I strongly doubt it. And If they ever do publicly, they will likely do another thing privately. Ukraine should watch their backs. |

The earlier the war stops, the quicker some food prices adjust downwards. but Trump with back-to-back drama for the next 4 years. May God have mercy.

Good one EFCC. Hopeful it's not too late for some. How to Know you're being scammed? - the return is outrageous. How do you measure outrageous? If it performs the domestic and foreign investment indices (which anyone can google), it's likely not feasible. - you can't explain what the business does to make money. This scam usually happens to people when they have extra money or they are desperate for extra funds. Summary: watch your greed, do your research. Ire o! 3 Likes |

Justice Samuel Alito said in his dissent that he was "stunned" by the majority's decision. Very rich of Justice Alito who has been implicated for being very partisan and more importantly, embroiled in financial improprieties. These are not new contracts. They are fulfilled contracts. And these agencies have to be paid. Congress approved those funds for that cycle and it has been used for the purposes designed for it. Those people should be paid. And once that's settled, it's left for the new istration to choose the direction they want to allocate funds. How difficult is that? 1 Like |

Good point but it's quite clear how this matter would go. Akpabio has a strong hold in this National Assembly. But for how long? |

2027 positioning per usual. No one should claim they want to rescue Nigeria though. It's obvious that the "rescue" or "change" mantra is a whole of BS. 1 Like |

Hmm. Careful in Kwara before this escalates into something nasty.

I kinda like how Ratcliffe worded this interview. He's hopeful the matter would be resolved diplomatically and privately (and avoid further public drama that's very unnecessary). Ukraine needs those military intelligence, if not, Russia would definitely press more into the country and acquire more territory than the current 18%. And that would be devastating for the Ukrainians.

Would be nice to know the details of these offices and their roles and responsibilites to the Nigerian taxpayers. At the very least, a website to show the policy direction of these offices as it affects the Nigerian economy. Just basic information.

“At 88, I am reminded that life is not about how long we live but how well we live,” Chief Obasanjo said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and to make a difference in the lives of others. This celebration is not just about me; it is about the collective impact we can achieve when we come together for a common cause.” Well said, Chief. Well said. Happy birthday and wishing you all round best in your remaining days. |

This thing is becoming a distraction from more serious matters. Tarrifs are increasing left and right from electricity to telecoms etc and the cost of living is becoming astronomically high but the Red chamber is engaging in pointless scandals. |

Inside the capital? Security forces need to thoroughly check themselves. Nigeria does not have open arms policy so weapons are controlled. This is a serious security lapse, especially since the culprit is an immigration official, and not just a random person. It's very possible that there is a arms ring in play with base in the FCT. 1 Like |

May his soul rest in peace and may his family be comforted. The Diocese has called for calm in the wake of the tragic killing, urging of the Takad community and the public to avoid any acts of retaliation. Church always trying to do the right thing in the midst of cruelty and injustice. |

D00msDay: This is apt and should not be twisted to suit any narrative. All that talk of Russia invaded Ukraine because Ukraine wanted to NATO is just encouraging evil. The fight is still happening on Ukrainian territory. A peace deal must favour Ukraine. They have lost a lot trying to rightfully defend their territory. 1 Like |

So far, the outlook remains positive as the CBN is keen on maintaining currency stability. With sustained reforms, effective forex policies, and increased investor confidence, the Naira is on a path to continued stability. However, continuous monitoring and strategic interventions will be key to maintaining this progress. Very key points: continuous monitoring and strategic interventions. Hopefully, our FX liqudity increases to contribute to these interventions. |

Okay. Looks like the tax net has been expanded. Careful attention must be made such that the tax is not increased but harmonized so individuals and organizations are not over-taxed.

The federal government has a target of producing over 2 million barrels per day of crude oil in 2025, but its output for January was 1.5 Mbps. It is short of 500,000 bpd, but the government has vowed to meet this target this year, as the 2025 budget is benchmarked on an output of 2.06 Mbps. Nigeria don't produce 2million barrels per day but yet our budget is benchmarked to 2.06 Mbps. Una well done o! 1 Like |
