You guys will be surprised that under that swampy environment, there might be hidden crude oil sedimentation. The area looks like where such are found in large quantity.... Congrats to them for their anniversary celebration. Nigeria is a beautiful country but poverty brought about by consistent bad leadership over the years is having a bad results on the people and the beautiful environment....

Vocabulary has failed me in describing the people of Ogun Waterside. Such wonderful & lovely people with great hospitality. I served at Tigara community in Ogun Waterside 2008. Moving from Abigi local govt secretariat to Ibiade to Ilushin to rubber plantation. So much love & care between I & the indigenes that emotions were high on the final day of departure. One of my happiest days were times in Ogun Waterside. My bio wouldn't be complete without Ogun Waterside. Much Love from Rivers State.

You sabi the place true true

Do not turn this beautiful thread to a place of ethnic bashing with your stup*dity.

No one asked you if someone got missing or mined. I was enjoying the reviews until I stumbled upon your sheer stup*dity.

Na ur Delta dem no dey do jazz right?

No part of Nigeria that is not diabolical,.cos our indigenous religion was traditional until the arrival of our British colonial masters whom traded our ancestors religion with theirs.

Let's not be tribalistic on threads it's not good enough.

Una Delta and Edo na headquarters of flying witches during the day right?

It's bad to try removing a lil dust from others eyes when you have a truckload of sand in yours.

The thread was trying to publicize an indigenous festival not to attract trolling

I'm sure if the festival were held at Canada or America... it'd be beautiful and you'd love to go or comment beautifully on its thread.

This is Okosi Festival 2025 in Makun Omi community, Waterside LGA of Ogun State, Nigeria.

The event was held on the 24th of May at the Ifara river in Makun Omi. It was fantastic.
Oba Kazeem Salami, the Osobia of Makun Omi hosted the entire world at the occasion.

A beach party was also held the next day (25th May) at another river bank location as part of the festival.

Here are colourful pictures of the event.
