Jesus COMMANDED his disciples to go preaching and teaching from house to house and door to door, and to baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit {Matthew 28:19-20} but at Pentecost when Jews approached the disciples and humbled themselves before the followers of Christ asking them what they need to do to be saved {Act 2:37} Peter said:

First let's talk about the word "REPENT"

It connotes a turn around which means Jews already has an inheritance from their ancestors but they have left it now the word REPENT has to do with their going back to their root.
So back then in the first century when John the baptist utter this word the Jews listening to him were caught to the heart knowing fully well they had turned aside from the covenant their ancestors had with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Peter undoubtedly reechoed the same word to make them see how far they have derailed from God's promises to their forefathers.

Therefore when someone speaking to a none Jew utter the same word "REPENT" one start to wonder from what exactly has the listeners derailed?
What commandments has the hearer turned against?
And which of the Gods made such law?

WHY the change?

Jews and Judaists all believe that there is a God in Israel that's above all other Gods and He operates with his invincible spirit so they already know so much about God and Holy Spirit but one thing they are missing is the role Christ played which Jesus of Nazareth happens to be that Christ.
So they don't need to be taught anything about God or Holy Spirit but they need to learn a lot about Jesus the only begotten son of God that's why Peter said they should be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ the only begotten son of God!

So the earth and it's inhabitants will blessed just as Noah's day but this time it's going to be through Abraham's descendants.

So only through that lineage will the Christ and those who will rule with him in be born but something happened the Israelites weren't as faithful that's why God changed the plan!

The Christ will be born among the Jews and so his first assignment is to gather his corulers among the Jews and train them how to rule with him in his kingdom this is the reason why Jesus always talk about heaven because he's taking his corulers there after Jerusalem is condemned.

Sadly the Jews failed woefully to put faith in Jesus instead of them to welcome him as the promised Christ despite all the signs he performed in their midst they said he is demonic and mad {John 10:20} that is why the invitation to become part of Christ's corulers was made open for gentiles.

So when Peter told the Jews at Pentecost that the promise was for them and their children {Act 2:39} they felt caught to the heart as they can see all those who have believed in Jesus as Christ speaking in foreign tongues!

In conclusion the name they need to be qualified for baptism is "Jesus" who is Christ the Lord after all they are not new to the name of their God and His active force (Holy Spirit) but it's this Jesus that's strange to them that is why they must be baptized in the name of Christ Jesus!

Happiness starts from having the same leader because all followers will adhere to his orders so that when anyone comes around to create enmity among them they will all shun the person.
That's what makes Jehovah's Witnesses One happy global family where we can't think of raising weapons against ourselves because someone orders us to hate our brothers in Christ.
Do you think of your own church in both Russia and Ukraine can shun the orders from Putin and Zelensky because of the love they share with their fellow believers in Christ? John 13:34-35
