The road which is 91K was tly awarded by the government of Seyi Makinde and the former Govornor. Oyetola. Oyo would do their side of 35KM and Osun too would do their side too.

Oyo is still on going despite running behind schedule with a January 2025 update. So I dont know if Osun isnt doing theirs and had abadoned it. Wè dont know as if now .

P.S The road is an FG road

and pictures of the Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo Road rehabilitation project, a collaborative effort between the Oyo and Osun State Governments, is steadily progressing towards reducing travel time between the two States to less than 50 minutes. The project spans a total length of 91 km, with Oyo State handling the reconstruction of 35.53 km of the road divided into three sections:

Section 1: Iwo Road interchange to Olodo Bridge (7.7 km)
Section 2: Dualisation of Olodo Bridge to Ogunmakarun Junction (500 m)
Section 3: Ogunmakarun Junction to Odo Oba (27.33 km)
The project was flagged off on 27 October 2022 by Governor Seyi Makinde and the then Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, in Osogbo. The Oyo State section was awarded to Peculiar Ultimate Concerns Ltd.

Presently:

Section 1: Significant progress has been made on the Iwo Road interchange to Olodo Bridge stretch. Work is still ongoing, and the contractor is currently working on the road after the Olodo Bridge before the Infectious Disease Centre
Olodo Bridge Dualisation: The first phase of the two-span Olodo Bridge construction is complete, and work has resumed on the second phase with a scheduled completion in Q2 2025.
Traffic Congestion Relief: Upon completion, the dualisation at Olodo Bridge will address congestion issues at the Olodo axis.
The Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo Road project is running behind schedule, but when complete, will fit into the goals of Omituntun 2.0 to enhance connectivity and improve the economic activities between Oyo and Osun States.

only Olodo bridge to Olodo bank is being done which is less than 500m in total length and Olodo bridge itself. Just try to travel from iwo road to iyana offa and see by your self. All is audio by Seyi media team

Comments like yours make me wonder how the brains of some people function differently. It amazes me, really. I mean, the bad state of the road, as stated by the person you quoted, suggested that the bad road could harbor insecurity, especially when it’s dark, and your brain, amazingly but foolishly, interpreted it as hate speech towards your ‘overzealous’ tribal leaders. Are you not finding it funny too? I doubt if you would, though.

But you conveniently didnt see the comment I responded to ?

Better go and hide, today is sit-at-home.

Ife express road is no longer a good road. It is, in fact, worse than Ibadan to Osogbo road and many motorists going to Osogbo now use the Ibadan to Osogbo road.

Really? It's been a long time I have travelled down to Osogbo though

Yes. And your Colonial Masters.

Tinubu rules till 2031. And then North. Then SS.

Crying changes nothing. Still no independence for you.

There are only two set of people in Nigeria: the ruling class and the common man. You are just as powerless as the average Igbo man regardless of whether or not your tribesman is in power. The black man’s reasoning pattern still amazes me.

Nigeria will never be great.

It’s all about jurisdiction. If it’s been designated a FG road, it was built by the FG and it is upon them to maintain the road. All FG roads should be documented somewhere with maintenance date and repair date listed. The road as I see it doesn’t look like it’s seen a single bucket of asphalt.
You can’t expect the State government to do what is designated Federal . Every state has its budget. And if you are spending billions on the road and don’t pay your civil servants , or maintain your state roads- miss-allocation of funds.

again I ask - why is the coastal highway that urgent when we have projects like this all across the country ?

This is one of the problems of Nigeria.
Okay the governor should continue dancing to his nephews music while the people who elected him to better their lives continue to die and lose their lives.
The road es through your state.
Your people are the ones using the road.
It is only a useless government official that will shelve whatever he can do for his constituency and shift blame to federal roads.

I quite that Nyesom Wike when he was a governor of Rivers State and clearly in opposition to Muhammadu Buhari's APC federal government never hid behind the fence of federal roads .Rather Wike constructed over 7 flyover bridges on so called federal roads in Port Harcourt to ease the suffering of Port Harcourt residents. That is what is called LEADERSHIP. Not attending every owambe party in town dancing like a jester.
In Ogun state I former governor Ibikunle Amosun built at least two flyovers near the Abiola Stadium to ease traffic in Abeokuta. These were built on Federal roads to ease the pain of his citizens.
The Late governor of Ondo state also built a flyover at Ore across the Federal Sagamu-Benin express way. He did not cry federal road excuses. He did it because he had integrity and knew that that Flyover will prevent accidents and save lives of the people of his state.

Some of you need to stop being fan boys of musicians. You need to stop excusing incompetence in government istration. You need to stop deflecting genuine criticism of incompetent state officials.
Adeleke cannot hide behind the excuse of federal roads because other governors have found ways to develop their states and help their people. He needs to stop dancing all over the place. Consult his fellow governors on how they went about if and get down to work.

From your last statement, you have decided to have a lifelong romance with poverty.

That's the difference in our mentality, you and I. I am the Ruling Class because I have decided to thrive no matter who's on the throne

That's why we will ALWAYS be poles apart.

Lol. One can easily notice the obvious auto correct error. However, can you just take a look at the margin you wrote. I am sure that eternity won't be enough for you to deduce your shameful grammatical error.
