The man made some senses here. I during the just concluded, I ate lunch (3 rolls of sermo though very small with 2 meats and maybe plus like 2 sachet of water) with just something that is not up to N1.5k in Okinni area of Osun state. I know some people won't believe this. |

If Tinubu can take us back to how things were when Buhari was President, I believe Nigerians will forgive him, make he carry his wahala dey go. The man just scatter everything. Young men no longer reason marriage this days, everyone is just reasoning where and how the next meal will come. Nigeria hasn't been this hard before. Thank God for foreign remittance sha. 3 Likes |

Miramonica: It would be MADNESS for Tinubu to restore fuel subsidies and return the Naira to the dual exchange rate system. Equivalent to a dog returning to its own vomit. All our suffering and endurance to push the economy to the next level in vain. Foreign investors, current and potential, bitterly disappointed. Numerous multi-billion dollar commitments and MOUs to invest in Nigeria cancelled. Back to spending or borrowing $10 billion a year for fuel subsidies, with the cheap fuel smuggled out to our neighbours for profit while we endure long queues as marketers laugh to the bank. Back to stagnation, fuel shortages and queues, fuel smuggling, and comatose refineries. Back to dual exchange rate, with widespread arbitrage, where, instead of companies producing, they simply buy and sell dollars. FOR GOODNESS SAKE’S, go on ChatGPT and ask it to explain why Tinubu removed subsidies and floated the Naira. You will get the full answer there. It’s not a secret why it was done. And it was not done out of malice to make Nigerians suffer. We are even recovering from it, however slowly. But at the end, the ECONOMY will be ready to FLY, FLY, and FLY. In fact just give it one or two more years. You will see things moving up everywhere. 1 Like |

Islie:All this rubbish is just to confuse themselves with their jibbering gibberish. They created an artificial inflation when they removed subsidy, floated the naira without first putting policies that will take the shock on the economy and masses... They blamed the bureau du change people and those and cryptocurrency traders. That did not stop transport cost from increasing and food prices from increasing... They promised to pay civil servants a better minimum wage with a promise that prices of petrol will not be increased..... Note, that the proposed minimum wage if you compared with the dollar equivalent, it was better off 16 years ago... I mean life should be better every years.....but it looked like the backwardness was something one couldn't talk about.... When they had not paid the minimum wage the petrol price went further up which resulted in it's ripple effects of all other things associated with it. The people in the power and electricity industry came with an increase in bills and likened it to that it's even cheaper in Nigeria than in America... The telecom guys came and increased, even the Minister said that they needed the increase to be able to upgrade their facilities and equipments for better service provision.......I guess the Minister was just trying to humor us...... House rents have increased astronomically.... School fees have increased as well.... Now, we are being told that one can get a decent meal for #1500.....has he moved round the country or he is saying what he likes. What does he mean by a decent meal..... Is it that food that you'll eat and before 30 minutes out of there or even less, you're still hungry again. Or like a family friend said who is doing his nysc in markudi, that there's a place he buys a plate of food for #500 and it satisfies him... I guess we should all relocate to such places... 3 Likes |

Vadese1: You bought jumbo chicken for 5 dollars and you couldn't finish it for two weeks...... Interestingly, I don't think you're a heavy eater. I don't know whats the size of your jumbo chicken but there are those who would eat it within three days if I were to eat it mixed with other food items. Otherwise if it's just only the chicken, that just breakfast, launch and dinner with my packet of juice or bottle of yogurt and it's finished. 1 Like |

2cribz: 1500 cannot feed a grown up man at mama put Cheapest wrap of pounded yam in Ibadan is 300naira & adult who doesn't eat much will eat 4wraps which is 1200naira. A cut of ogunfe (goat meat) is 1000naira while cow meat is 500naira. Let's assume you eat only 4 wraps of pounded yam at 1200naira & just one cow meat of 500naira, let's assume you don't even drink bottle or sachet water, you need at least 1700naira to eat a food that will not even satisfy your stomach. Now, an average labourer earns less 5000naira for 9am - 4pm job which means entire wage for the day cannot feed a labourer for a day talk less of feeding their families 2 Likes 1 Share |

Are these people cursed or what? The official minimum wage in the US is $7.25 an hour, though most employers pay more than this minimum. It means someone working for just two hours on this flat minimum wage earns at least $14 which is N21,000 in this illiterate man's calculation. This is just for two hours. If that person works a full 8 hours, that's 7×8 which is 56. In naira this will be N84,000. How many people in Nigeria can earn N2,000 in two hours let alone N21,000 or 84,000 a day? This is minimum wage o. Can someone therefore tell this m*r*n that many people in Nigeria cannot afford that N1,500 lunch because they're not earning enough to be able to afford it?

Imagine how these ingrates think. Which Fast food can you get a Good meal with 1500naira ? Is it Chicken Republic? Is it Kilimanjaro?... Is it tantalizes? .is it even white House in Yaba Or in Ozone? Or all these risky burgers and mass production Mama puts that put your life at risks See how this apc government keeping degrading citizens .
