The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has ed over 76 percent of the results from the Edo gubernatorial election on its Result Viewing Portal (IREV).

Tribune Online reports that voters across the 18 local government areas of Edo State turned out en masse on Saturday to elect a new governor to succeed Godwin Obaseki.

In the latest development, Tribune Online’s check at the time of this report revealed that 76.26 percent of the results had been ed.

This figure represents the results from 3,329 polling units out of 4,519 units across the state.

irev is not to declare who is winner or loser, or who is leading or lagging.

It is just a server where the result sheets are scanned to for reference sake.

It does not tally result.

This is exactly what they should have done during the general elections but baba INEC switched off the server and came up with stories
