Mohammed argued that until the anti-competitive and monopolistic tendencies are expunged from the broadcast sector, Nigeria would not be able to grow local content. But the mannequin is investing in UK's health system, how is he growing local content? Imagine telling us that the President is going for medical check-up in London. Which check dem no fit check am for Nigeria. Yeye 491 Likes 36 Shares |

Hahhaahhs Nigeria don pickup from WAEC. In fact, WAEC is surcharging Schools a whopping N100,000 as penalty for late of CASS. Imagine the money WAEC makes from the fine alone. Still, a charge of N13,950 is paid per candidate ad exam fees. In addition to a N5,000 charge per correction of data. What baffles me is that the Principals are paying with zest and our government do not care to ask a question. Do we actually have a government? 110 Likes 11 Shares |

This is what happens when you are a perpetual liar. Even when you are speaking the truth or making sense, nobody believe you. If only Lai Mohammed knows the huge damage he has done to himself and his family!

After paying their taxes? Look @ this legendary Goebbels liar of a minister. All these senseless vertuperations is simply because of the CNN exposure on the #EndSARS brutality and killings which really exposed the complicit & lies of the govt especially the satellite tracking of the movement of soldiers. This fool fails to understand that the world is a global village with competing market forces that even this is seemly good but myopic policy will not still save anything.Only the fittest survive. Now the same president Lai Mohammed told Nigerians that he was using made-in-Nigeria PCM is embarking on another health tourism abroad with its attendant economic burden on Nigeria.Question is why is this happening & is the UK going to pay tax to Nigeria on this? Nope! Britain gains but Nigeria losses. Nigeria is cursed this useless and hopeless government @ present that is why it is the headquarters for all worse indices of human and developmental assessment. 44 Likes 4 Shares |

SarkinYarki: I don't like Lai Mohammed for anything, but I think he has a point. If we must grow in this country, we must protect our own. This is a nice way of compelling these companies to produce their ads in Nigeria and help the local media and creative industry grow. Do you know how much Dangote, Zenith, glo and Access Bank spend to run ads and sponsor programmes on CNN? Again, Lai Mohammed didn't ask them to stop advertising, however, he wants to encourage the local content development industry to grow. That's why he made it clear that the fines will go to local content development. "The half a million will go to the Content Development Fund.” You see, Nigerian films are some of the most seen in Africa and elsewhere in the world because we like it. Nigerian music displaced American hip hop and R&B in Nigeria's clubs, parties and radio stations because the former istration enacted and implemented local content laws. Today, Nigerian music has grown to the level of winning Grammy awards. My point is, we need to encourage local content development as a way of strengthening our country and creating jobs. However, other sectors have to follow suit, including the health and education sectors to end medical tourism and overseas education respectfully. While at it, they must improve our system significantly. 110 Likes 13 Shares |

This is what Atiku was talking about when he described Buhari's rule He said: “How did Nigeria get here? We got here by abandoning the people-centred leadership and free trade and deregulatory policies of the Obasanjo years (which saw us maintain an almost single-digit unemployment rate), and implementing discredit command and control policies that have led to massive capital flight from Nigeria.”Private businesses are not charity organisations, they put in money where they can make more money, it is after making profits that they now devote part of the profits to CSR You can't go to a location to shot a video commercial without being bombarded with security concerns, multiple taxation, unreliable public power, inefficient transport system etc but government wants to force you to pay for their failure 44 Likes 5 Shares |

This government has always brought issues where there is non...for example, in December 2020, Emefiele stopped Nigerians from getting direct credit to their local because of a dollar policy that I don't understand. What has changed? Is the exchange rate any better, one dollar is nearly #500 as we speak.. They banned crypto,... they increased VAT to 7.5%...they changed all the policies they met on ground and Nigeria keeps going backwards. Fact is they gat nothing in their brains. Q.E.D! Nb I'm seeing 30% charges in the above post...Lia, u want the companies to run out of business?? 32 Likes 4 Shares |

Herein lies the problem of Nigeria. Good ideas but bad leaders and poor implementation of policies. They keep shouting "develop local, patronize local" yet they do the exact opposite. Bunch of hypocrites! 10 Likes 1 Share |
