The Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar says the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has reversed all the benefits recorded by the PDP including the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which now grows at two percent instead of six percent.

Atiku made the submission on Tuesday during PDP South East Presidential Zonal Rally in Owerri Imo State.

Addressing a gathering of party ers, Atiku promised to engage the youths through quality jobs. He advised them against the fake promises of the APC, describing the party as an evil party. He urged them to vote and ensure they defend their votes.

Atiku told the teeming youth who filled the stadium to capacity despite the fact that the State governor is of APC, they will either get employment or business.

Hear him, “We have promised jobs for our young men and women. You either have an employment or business. We will help you set up your businesses. We pledge that we are going to restructure this country. APC is not going to do it.

“Therefore, don’t vote APC. It is an evil party. Since Nigeria’s existence, we have never seen so many young men and women that are unemployed. They have turned this country into the headquarters of poverty in the world.

“They have destroyed our economy. When PDP was in government, we were growing at six percent. Today, we are less than two percent and our population is growing at three percent. Now our people are poor. This is what APC has brought to us.

“We have promised to restore the economy, to get the economy growing again so that there would be prosperity, jobs for all of you” he pledged

Also in his remarks, the Director General of PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Senator Bukola Saraki said that hye rally is a clear signal that the entire South East has locked down their votes for Atiku.

He said, “This is a rally that is sending a big signal that the entire Southeast, the entire Nigeria is ready for a new president. They are ready for a new President that sabi the work, they are ready for a president that will create jobs for the youths.

“He is ready to lead Nigeria because he has the capacity. He has reserved 40% for you youths. This man will create jobs, he will take care of the youths and he will unite Nigeria.”

Also speaking, the National Chairman of the Party, Prince Uche Secondus stressed that the election is about incompetent and competence, energy and weakness, capacity and incapacity, asking the people to ensure PDP is voted in at all levels.

Highlights of the event was the presentation of PDP governorship flags to the party’s candidates in the five South East states of Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States.

Dignitaries at the rally are: Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu; Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi; his counterpart in Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu; Imo PDP governorship candidate, Emeka Ihedioha; former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim, serving and former National Assembly from the zone, among others.

The useless party met more than $60bn in reserves, earned more than four times of it , and still managed to loot the reserve and what they earned.

Stupid thing to say. Atiku is obviously a simpleton. How can you talk about GDP in Nigeria without taking into consideration the amount of looting during the PDP istrations and the sharp drop in price of oil. This man can not lead a village let alone a country.

As patriotic citizens we owe it to ourselves to keep people like Atiku far away from power. People like him will only take us back to the dark ages. Buhari holds the key to a great and prosperous Nigeria. Don’t fall for Atiku’s gamesmanship. He’s an expert at cunning people. God bless Nigeria.
