My opinion on the sentence handed to Ighodalo is simply that of sarcasm. How can stealing a phone attract that length of imprisonment. Even if he is a thief and fraudster, 45 years jail term is simply illogical. It says a lot about the country we are in. The criminal is not going to serve a literal 45 years jail term. He will approximately serve 8 - 10 years because all the individual sentences will run CONCURRENTLTY. Abi we no sabi comprehend?

Every single article about this event also states that the convicted man will only serve 10 years in prison as the 45 years jail term is an accumulation of the various sentences that will run concurrently.
