The district head of Gulak in Madagali local government area of Adamawa State, Alhaji Sa’adu Danburam, has been shot dead in his office in Maiduguri by unknown gunmen.

The slain district head, a veterinary doctor, was the younger brother of the medical director of Federal Medical Centre, Yola, Dr. Aliyu Damburam.

Sources close to the family told LEADERSHIP that the assailants trailed the district head to his office in Maiduguri where they shot him to death.

The speaker, Adamawa State House of Assembly, Ahmadu Umar Fintiri, who hails from the area, expressed shock over the murder as he commiserated with the family of the late district head.

The late Danburam is survived by one wife and two children.
