Fremancipation: There's a big problem with your assumptions here. Most serious trading nations have set up protectionist barriers that prevent the "trade and expansion" of your imagination. Plus, you will struggle to compete with China and the like, for access to those markets. With Nigeria, you have a 200 million-strong market at your disposal. Nigeria is projected to be the world's 3rd most populous nation, after China and India, by 2050, with a population suring 1 billion. Those statistics are GOLD for the industrious and entrepreneurial Igbos. But they want to abandon this huge market, this world class opportunity to really explode their wealth and reach, to retreat into some tiny ethnic kingdom, for reasons best known to them. Not smart at all. 19 Likes |

ISpiksDaTroof:Let that be our cross to bear, did we ask for your sympathy? An Igbo nation beaming with entrepeneurs, academicians, top notch business tycoons, technology, entertainment etc broke? then you must not know the Igbos who claim to share a country with all this decades, maybe the post civil war re-emergence of the Igbos hasn't taught you what resilience means, but you will learn in due time. 1 Like |

kingzizzy: So, in that instance you truly believe Nigeria will cede Kogi, Edo, Delta, Ondo etc to you guys? It seems like you don't understand you're telling the rest of Nigeria to prepare for another civil war, if thats your mindset. Gosh, I can't believe how illogical and short sighted you all are as a group. 27 Likes 1 Share |

deomelo: Problem with people like you is that you cant help but see everything from the point of view of a Nigerian. The world is a big place, it doesnt end and stop in Nigeria. In 2002, East Timor seceded from Indonesia. Indonesia is 5 times bigger than Nigeria, a population of over 250 million people and is richer than Nigeria. Some people thought that East Timor would never survive without Indonesia. Today, East Timor is doing well and enjoying there freedom. I have great confidence in my Igbo people, we are one of the most resourceful people you can find in Africa. The greatest resource a people can have is not oil or gas, it is human potential. Igbos have a lot of human potential, all they need is control of their own land to make things happen. Im from Anambra, an Oil producing state with on of the largest Gas reserves in Nigeria. But Im not even looking at these things. Im looking at the manufacturing potential of my area as soon we can free our selves from the cursed Nigerian 'power holding' start generating electricity with our coal in Enugu. We want to explore the agro-allied potential of Ebonyi, the production of Aba, the potential of Nnewi as the japan of Africa. The huge oil potential of Abia and Imo. The potential of an independent Biafra comprising of Igbos and the minorities who comfortable is incredible. All we need is to get out of the control of Abuja as an independent country. Biafra will not be easy at first, but we shall overcome. I believe that within 15 years of Biafra existing, it will have the biggest GDP in Africa. 4 Likes |

ISpiksDaTroof: What is Kogi, Edo, Delta and Ondo? Mere creations of military dictators. We are interested in ethnic groups, the indigenous people Lugard forced together at gunpoint in 1914. We dont care about ficticious names that came later such Delta and Kogi. If indigenou ethnic groups such as Igbo, Ijaw, Ibibio decide they are confortable enough with each other to be an independent nation, it is not for you Nigerians to say otherwise |

ISpiksDaTroof: Of course, Ghana under Dr. Kofi Busia expelled Nigerians, mostly Yari.ba peeps, from Ghana in 1972. I guess Nigeria retaliated in 1978/79 under Shehu Shagari. I have known most Nigerians to jump into silly comparison without weighing the facts before them. If Biafra becomes independence as long as Ghana did before Nigeria expels Biafrans, then the form of expulsion initiated by dumbass Nigeria will be followed in kind and even more by the Republic of Biafra. |

Rossikki:op if the igbos do seceed, our relationship would be largely based on the way and manner such secession occurs, if it was in animosity and bad blood like the one we are having at the moment, then I think both our nationalities won't be welcome in our respective countries. That's why I've always stressed to the fanatic ipob to think of the future, I myself spent 12 years plus in the north and speak hausa fluently, I have never spent 2days straight in any part of the East. So like most yorubas I think we feel more welcome in the north than in the east. So if we do part in hate, it would be better if we just stay on our sides of the divide, cos I think the clamour for biafra has been the inability of the igbos to coexist with us. So if it happens everybody should just maintain his lane. Whether or not we choose to accept biafran would be at our discretion. So the ball is in their court . also i think our nature differs and that yorubas are more accommodating in that almost everyone knows the meaning of our 'ekaabo' (welcome) greeting, up till date I don't know what welcome means in igbo. So all this might change if we have bad blood if/when we go our separate ways, and right now it seems Igbos will be asked to leave 12 Likes 1 Share |
