The MTN iPulse plan is a special call tariff plan basically designed for students on campuses across Nigeria which allows all calls to any network at flat rate of 11kobo per second but your first minute every day is charged at 40kobo per second. All iPulse s will also enjoy cheaper SMS rates at 2Naira only compared to the usual 4Naira SMS rate and it gives you 10MB data cap on 100 Naira recharge.

How To Migrate

To Migrate to MTN iPulse simply dial *406# or SMS 406 to 131

NB: After you must have successfully migrated to MTN iPulse, you must spend a minimum of N200 on calls or SMS to qualify for the Free Night Browsing.


MTN SmoothTalk Plus

For those that aren’t students, since the iPulse plan is strictly for student in campuses, you can migrate to this plan. MTN SmoothTalk Plus is a special tariff plan that now allows you enjoy a FLAT rate of 15 kobo per second for calls ACROSS ALL local Networks after the first minute of the day at 40 kobo per second and you will get 10MB data cap on 100 Naira recharge.

NB: Free Happy Hour calls to MTN numbers from 00.30am to 04:30 every day (including weekends) as long as you have minimum balance of N100 in your at 00:30.


MTN Zone

There was a time when MTN Zone seems to be the best tarrif for MTN to MTN calls, call rates are as low as 1kobo per second (1k/sec) and can go as high as 28k/sec depending on your location (zone). Lately, the tariffs have been modified and won’t go as low as 1k/s, minimum it goes is 12k/ sec which I deem as fair enough! Most hours of the day, it stays that way but during the evenings it goes as high as 28k/ s. I still rocking this plan though!
