It is very unsettling because top politicians who are very functional and are at the National Assembly and are in Abuja are the architects and arrowheads of just not instigating but harbouring and keeping these people and feeding them in the bush, taking care of their bills and buying all the other gadgets for them.

This is extremely unacceptable. They do not love the lives of their people and always fighting for their political positions, I think I am serving the interests of the common masses, it is a concern to me and it is my right to protect them.

How many more lives must be lost before President Tinubu takes decisive action to address the deteriorating security situation in Benue State?

What is preventing the President from declaring a state of emergency in Benue, given the persistent attacks and widespread unrest, killings and instability in the state?

It is deeply concerning that a state of emergency was swiftly declared in Rivers State despite its relatively peaceful status while Benue continues to suffer frequent attacks by armedmen, non state actors overrunning towns and villages. These assaults have resulted in significant loss of life, destruction of property, and the displacement of thousands of residents.

Most recently, the Benue State Emergency Management Agency (BSEMA) announced the registration of an additional 18,592 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), highlighting the scale of the crisis. This is no longer a localized conflict, it is a humanitarian emergency, A tragedy

This governor’s statement underscores the fact that the state government is overwhelmed. A prompt and decisive federal intervention through the declaration of a state of emergency, may now be the only viable step to restore peace and safeguard the lives and property of Benue's citizens.

If you are serious and you yourself not involved, you will name them instead of speaking in code. What death is a reverend father afraid of?

I have said it that the killings in Benue and NC in general are mostly reprisal attacks.

Are the people involved waiting for one president to come and help them settle their long time dispute?

There is no superiority point in killing each other

I'm tired of this narrative.

It's either you name them and sue them or STFU.

Oshiomhole also said Generals in the Army are responsible for terrorism in Nigeria, till today he has not told us who those Generals are

Why don't you share your advanced knowledge of the situation with security agencies?

This comment also shows a lack of value for human lives

No name, useless news. People will say pastors and religious people should get into the system as they will make a difference. 99% of the time, no difference. They are drowned in the politics and worse.
We have a priest in Benue, a pastor in Taraba and another one in Akwa-Ibom. No vision, no difference. Shame.

This man should just resign and go back home, even in the Catholic church, he has failed, so he should go home and rest, before he will blame Peter obi for his failing...

Have you ever been to the two states..You are so sure of the state but prevented obi from visiting. Why are they afraid of his visit

We've always known that. We know herdsmen have always been murderers, but it's your godfathers whom you're having political ruckus with that are fueling the current tide.

But he was playing politics with it the other day, even prevented a concerned citizen from visiting the idps to provide aids.

He should call tilumbu by his real name and not be afraid. Coward
