But has been given approval to borrow up to 21 billion dollars, do we know what is in Tinubu's mind? You give a financial thief access to take loan up 21 billion dollars and then you want to trust him not to exhaust the full limit, well I don't trust him, you can trust him, me I don't 16 Likes 1 Share |

Suddenly borrowing done get another definition. See as explanation long. If the president and governors decides to take the money a beg won't they return it with interest? Till Nigerians wake and flush out bad leaders and resist the emergency of vote buying leaders the country will never move forward. Like someone said on one program in kwara fm PEOPLE ARE HUNGRY. 5 Likes |

If you don't intend to borrow the money, why do you need senate approval? Reno is a certified APC e-rat full stop! 12 Likes |

But he is still borrowing. Look, boys and girls, a lot of you people will come here to call me taxman, agbero, etc....but the hard truth is, so long as our budget is 80% reliant on monies from oil, we will borrow, and borrow more, and borrow, until we learn how to run our economy and government properly and face hard truths. The budget for this year was based on the idea that oil prices will remain at least at 75 dollars per barrel. AND EVEN THEN...the government had to borrow 13 bn dollars extra. That is at Jan 1 2025. Since then, oil has fallen, and will keep falling this year. It is now at 60 dollars per barrel and has even been at 59 dollars per barrel. And it is going to keep falling. And here is a scary fact, we need oil to be at 130-39 dollars per barrel before we can say we got enough money...so even with all that, we are broke. AND THE ANNOYING THING...is that stealing is still in progress eg the budget padding happened this year as usual. (Oh, and for agbadorians, that is why GEJ borrowed. Despite oil prices being high under his government, for the most part they did not 130 dollars per barrel). But, forgetting corruption, oil prices have fallen far below the benchmark, that if Nigeria does not borrow, the government won;t be able to pay nothing, nada, zilch in salaries, contracts, etc. Which means people would be out of money and out of luck. That is why, since we got independent, we should have gone industrial...but no. All of you calling for army rule...the times we have had army rule, none of them did the needful and improved industrial development. We have never had a general park type ruler. And we never will because of our oil dependent narrative. Tinubu should have raised money by raising our tax to gdp ratio, raising income from alternative means, and by actually fighting corruption, and also by encouraging diversification. (I don't want to hear any it takes time to do things). And he should have removed power subsides as well....so that the sector can grow. And he should have started all this on June 1 2023. Manufactured goods and services. Dutch disease. Oil is a CURSE. 42 Likes |

Reno no need to explain to them they are brainless unreasonable human filled so much with hatred and pain to the extend they can no longer reason independently and proper again.. They couldn't even understand the different between "want to borrow" and "can borrow if necessary" and that is why Tinubu don't even care to answer them. No matter how hard they stand against anything Tinubu and Nigeria won't stop us from voting for Tinubu again and again and they can't do anything about it. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Reno Omokri’s latest spin to sanitize Tinubu’s $21.5 billion borrowing spree is not just disingenuous, it’s a calculated insult to Nigerians’ collective intelligence. His semantic shell game distracts from one glaring fact: Tinubu is aggressively mortgaging Nigeria’s future, and Omokri is complicit. 1. The $21.5 Billion Myth Debunked Omokri called it a “ceiling.” False. On May 27, 2025, Tinubu officially requested National Assembly approval for $21.5B, €2.19B, ¥15B, and a €65M grant to fund 2025–2026 projects. This is no hypothetical—it’s legislative fact. Adding N757.9B in local bonds, Nigeria’s debt will spike to ₦183 trillion, according to SERAP. Omokri claiming it’s “just a projection” is pure misdirection. 2. Tinubu’s Debt Addiction Omokri paints Tinubu as a “First-Class ant.” Laughable. In Nov 2024, Tinubu secured a ₦1.77 trillion loan, then six months later, he’s back for $21.5B more. Campaign promises? Broken. Debt-to-revenue ratio may have dipped, but debt-servicing is still choking the budget. Projects like the Lagos-Calabar Highway are stalled, Nigerians see no tangible output, only rising debt. 3. Omokri: From Critic to Political Errand Boy This is a man who flip-flopped from PDP defender to APC cheerleader, now acting as Tinubu’s hype man. His selective narrative is a bid for relevance. A self-appointed fiscal “expert,” Reno offers distractions, not facts. He tells Nigerians to read the MTEF—conveniently ignoring that most citizens can’t access or decode these bureaucratic traps. 4. Harsh Economic Reality Fuel subsidy removed. Naira tanked to ₦1,605/$. Rice at ₦80,000 per bag. Food inflation > 40%. These are not “framework outcomes”, they are lived disasters. Omokri’s utopian vision is disconnected propaganda, while Nigerians starve, businesses close, and public despair deepens. 5. Propaganda & Censorship Reno accuses critics of “fake news,” echoing Tinubu’s authoritarian tone. Yet it’s this regime banning protest music, harassing journalists, and silencing dissent. Omokri’s fake neutrality is a fig leaf for tyranny. Tinubu’s $21.5B loan plan is real, reckless, and ruinous. Omokri’s defense is a polished lie wrapped in fiscal buzzwords. Nigerians deserve transparency, not this circus of spin. Reno Omokri, history won’t your tweets, it will your betrayal. 5 Likes 2 Shares |
