Former chairman of the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, and Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Dr. Sam Amadi, has decried what he termed the growing pattern of unwarranted attacks on the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, by senior government officials, noting that while Nigerian politicians talk about him, Obi talks only about Nigeria’s undeserving condition.

In a commentary he shared on his official X , Amadi observed that it has become a troubling trend for of the present istration to frequently target Obi, despite his consistent focus on Nigeria’s dire socio-economic realities, rather than on personalities.

He cited the recent criticisms from the Presidency, the Governor of Lagos State, and Senate President, Godswill Akpabio as examples of this misplaced focus.

Obi had recently remarked that the “labour of our heroes past has gone in vain”-a sobering reflection on the country’s current state of affairs. The observation was met with a sharp rebuke from Senator Akpabio, who accused the former governor of Anambra State of being disrespectful and dishonouring the legacy of Nigeria’s founding fathers.

Before this, the Governor of Lagos State had also lashed out at Obi, reacting to comments he made during a recent foreign engagement, where he critiqued the country’s economic trajectory. The Presidency, too, had earlier dismissed Obi’s ideas and proposals on governance and economic reform.

Amadi, however, offered a counter-narrative, arguing that while the political elite expend significant energy attacking Obi, the man himself remains resolutely focused on Nigeria’s structural challenges and the urgent need for reform.

“If elections were a purely rational exercise, Peter Obi is so far the only candidate who ought to be elected”, Amadi stated.

He lamented what he called the disproportionate attention paid to Obi by high-ranking government figures, asserting that Obi has steered clear of personal attacks and has, instead, consistently advanced a vision for national renewal rooted in prudence, ability, and economic revitalisation.

Amadi’s intervention has sparked wide engagement online, with many Nigerians echoing his sentiments and urging government officials to redirect their attention to the pressing issues confronting the country, rather than vilifying opposition voices.

No, don't get it twisted.

Obi is a reckless talker
His mouth bubbles bitterness towards Nigeria which he claim he want to be president.
Trying so hard to manipulate Nigerians

Take a kook at these two statement from Obi
" we know who won Edo election"
";.....those who protested during Jonathan are they dead..?"
This statement need condemnation in all ramifications

In his political history he has never United two parties.
Take a look at him as Governor
His relationship with APGA and his predecessors
His Labour Party.

He is not the president Nigerian needs

There is no statesmanship in his utterances

Peter Obi is the biggest threat to Tinubu's reelection if INEC doesn't manipulate the election.

I am not even his er but its a fact, in his first attempt he got over 6m votes, several senators and House of Reps got elected including an Okada rider in an obscure party because of him and he shockingly swept Lagos State which is Tinubu's domain.

His popularity in the North will grow further as Islamic clerics no longer praise the Muslim Muslim ticket while insecurity persists.
APCs hopes lies in control and manipulation of INEC and judiciary which is why every politician is decamping to APC to secure their position not because APC is doing so well for the country.

Wike is so full of himself not because he is very popular but simply because he feels he can easily rig elections in favour of any candidate from councillor to President.

How can we be proud of the Labours of our "heroes" past when ordinary stable electricity they couldn't provide for 60 years? sad

Very shameful
In a sane clime, people like Peter obi are the drivers of progressive narrative but here in Nigeria where amala politics is played , tribalism and nepotism has eaten into the brains of many

Don’t bother yourself, let them keep talking about him. We already knew the truth. If nobody talks about you, then you’re nobody. I like the way he’s pressing their neck this period, fire for fire. The APC got nothing to offer except criticize anything Obi say or do.

Apart from beer (Hero and Budweiser), Intafact beverages also produce Grand Malt (and Beta Malt) which is possibly the best brewed malt brand on Nigerian soil. It's convenient for you to ignore that obviously.

Also, Cassava makes up 50% of Anambra State farm produce. Cassava also serves as a cheap source of fermented sugar for the brewery, required for their operation.

The master stroke by Peter Obi brought the market to Anambra farmers, provided employment and industrialization of the economy, and improved the agricultural production in the state.

Governance is by inspiration, not mere wishful thinking.

Marcus Aurelius is a wise man.

I'm surprised some people rate this man too much. If one is too indolent to read his history, Soludo keeps giving us peeps.
amp01:

What's the history of Obi did you read?
Which state are you from? Did your state government invest in the future of the youth in the last 16years?
I read his history that says:
1. He owed doctors for 13 months.
2. He owed teachers for 7 months.
3. He didn't build any school during his 8 year tenure. (I imagine Portable to do better than this if he was Anambra state governor instead of Obi)
4. He built bre*w*ery instead of Anambra's youth's future.

I could continue.
Meanwhile, ASUU has not gone on strike since Tinubu entered. Note that.

Someone that made Anambra citizens poorer during his tenure as governor.
