South4sure1:No It's not recommended to start roofing immediately after casting the parapet with just a 24-hour gap. Concrete typically needs more time to gain sufficient strength to additional loads. Don't rush it 24 Likes 2 Shares |

Yes, but dont remove the formwork. Parapet is not a load bearing wall, the roof load directly transferred on the parapet beams, not the projection (outside) and then the load distributed to columns finally to foundation footing. Let me handle your block decking professionally to save you some cost and achieve maximum strength 8 Likes |

South4sure1: Concreate takes more than 24 to really solidify Take a hammer to it after that 24hrs. You won't have much issues breaking away a chunk Try again after a month. If you can break out even a small chunck without stress it's not a good mix you used Concrete needs time to strengthen up 3 Likes |

South4sure1: Parapet aren't part of load bearing structural . It means it doesn't carry any impose load apart from self load. So you can continue your roof work the following day but leave the formwork in place to prevent any damage to the parapet itself. 6 Likes 1 Share |

South4sure1: No u cant. The concrete is still curing and setting. You are supposed to be watering that concrete for proper curing. Give it two weeks to set properly and have a good development before talking about roofing |

You can start roofing 24hours after you finish the wood work which might take you 5 to 7 days depending how fast the workers are.
