Nigerian Woman Amasses ₦4.2m in Savings Box After 9 Months

A Nigerian woman has inspired others as she amassed a whopping sum of ₦4.2m in savings box after 9 months of consistency.

The viral video of the woman opening her savings boxes has sparked a wave of discussion among curious online s.

Sharing on TikTok, the woman @chiegeskincare disclosed that she embarked on her saving journey in January and intends to open her savings in December.

On the contrary, the alarming rate of household expenses eventually forced her to open her savings box before the intended date, being the breadwinner of her family.

As shown in the clip, two savings boxes; a rectangular box and a square-shaped box were incorporated to save money for 9 months.

As the box was opened, an incredible bounty of 500 and 1000 Naira notes poured forth, forming an abundance of wealth.

She was motivated by a man who amassed ₦5 million from his savings box, the previous year.

A total of ₦4,220,000 was unveiled, representing the collective amount in her savings box for 9 months.

Internet s trooped into the comment section, applauding her for being consistent and disciplined. Viewers jubilated that she didn’t meet an empty saving box, similar to common viral experiences.

She do lose value sha. It isn't wise to save in Naira these days except if it's for a few days time. Better one buys a commodity say maize and sell it off later when ready. Or convert the little savings to USD at the end of every month, and reconvert back to Naira at the end of the target date.

Nigerians won't ask questions, they'll say you're a hater once you question the source...

Even someone who earns N1m monthly can't realistically save 15k daily, cos that's about 450k monthly. She might have a business, but even at that, you wouldn't open your piggy bank to show the whole world, so I'm calling this cap 🧢!

New way of money laundering...

Get funds from illegal source, and then show pictures of having saved money for a period in case questions are asked as to how such large sum of cash came into your possession grin

Cardoso must hear this..

Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has revealed that the total currency in circulation has reached N4.14 trillion, with N3.87 trillion of this amount currently outside the banking system. This indicates that 93.34 per cent of the nation’s currency is in the hands of individuals and businesses, while only 6.66 per cent remains within the banking sector.
